Trade Gragnani. The guy cannot play defense.

Will the winless road trip cause owner T-Pegs to shake things up? Stay tuned, folks!

It's the kind of Western road trip that makes you long for the days when the only thing we had to ***** about was the play of Steve Montador.

You know, it's funny you should say that, because I still can't rationalize that the moves that were made this summer made the team worse. Maybe we were just always heading for the cliff, anyways. Maybe the players are slightly better but just don't care to play for Ruff. I don't know. It's a funny thing to try and explain, but if you can explain how drew stafford went from scoring .5 GPG to .17 GPG, you're on your way there. If you can explain how Derek Roy went from being on an 82 point pace to a 44 point pace, you're getting there. If you can explain how Ryan Miller went from being a popular preseason vezina pick to being a popular choice to lose his job to an entirely unremarkable backup, you're on your way. On paper, the team should be better than lest year, for sure, but it's like half the roster started a heroin habit over the offseason or something.

The offseason of 2011 Buffalo Sabres heroin parties. I think someone should investigate this.

G:

- Backes is a beast. Wish we had a guy like that.
- They only lost by 2 goals! The trend continues.
- Gerbe with a ton of chances.
- Miller was very solid.

B:

- We don't have a guy like Backes.
- Gerbe didn't bury any of those chances.
- Miller was the only reason that wasn't a blowout.

U:

- "Holy Jumpin'!" I love Panger but...ugh.
- "Former Blue Jochen Hecht" & "Former Blue Brad Boyes" STL's PBP guy literally said this every single time they touched the puck.
- Gragnani.

The Sort-of-Bright Side:

Lottery pick in sight if we keep up this level of suckage.

Watching this team and one thing crosses my mind.

Not one person is untouchable by any stretch of the imagination. Not one.

Myers, despite his goal tonight, looked particularly bad.

I kind of liked Leino tonight. He seemed to be around the puck all night, had a couple hits, was into the game tonight.

Gerbe too. Miller was ok tonight but he's not feeling it, which makes him overcompensate and make him out of position. A shutout would do wonders for him.

See, that's how bad I want it to be over! The road trip, the season, Lindy Ruff and Darcy Regier's tenures in Buffalo...

Also, I could've sworn I heard Sylvester say something about returning home before facing the Devils. Given how bad an announcer he is, guess I should've checked the schedule :

I don't want to start an argument but did you see his numerous turnovers?

Or, St. Louis's 2nd goal when Myers let a guy skate right into the slot to score when he could have taken the body?

Or, the 3rd goal where he let TJ Oshie stand in front of Miller and just stood next to him and did nothing when the shot came through and the puck was laying there? And, I mean, he did nothing. Just stood there like a cigar store Indian.

Tyler needs to shed the tutu. I thought he was turning the corner watching last years Flyers series when he played mean hockey. He was a physical force.

Where has that gone?
