Schultz is having a pretty good 1st period. He's been pretty good at controlling & cycling the puck along the boards in the offensive zone.

How has Ian Schultz not made the jump to the big club yet?? He was a force when I got to watch him with the Calgary Hitmen and made the push to the Memorial Cup.
Is it just due to contracts or has his play not been good enough for the 3rd/4th line role?
We want him to be more than a goon at the NHL level. He needs to work on his defensive and offensive game. He shows nice things this year. He will probably be ready in 2013.

Aside from St Denis does Hamilton have anymore real puck movers, it seems when their defense get it the offense dies.

Scrivens has been bad against the Bulldogs, so more goals are very, very possible.

Schultz is gonna be a good player for the habs.
With the new mentality that we will have for next season (new coach, new GM) and with our bottom 6 with a lot of open spot, it wouldn't suprise me to see Schultz with the Habs next year.

He still had his gloves in his hand and Neuber never let him the chance to drop them.
Schultz was REALLY pissed. He wanted a round 2 outside the rink!
That's the kind of attitude i want on my team. A guy that takes no ****.

If we got a LW or center to play with Schultz and White, we could have one badass 4th line next year.

I love Ryan White, but he's not scaring anyone in the NHL. He's just not that big. He is, however, a hard worker and a very tough scrapper. But he's an all-around player (in 4th line terms), not in any way a badass, intimidating player. Just a great, feisty team guy. Able to keep a spot on a JM team, for instance.
Schultz, OTOH, is pretty much an enforcer. He's not going to make the NHL based on his hockey. White largely did.

If they somehow do make the playoffs, I fear it will be a very short run with the goaltending they've been getting this season.
