First round loss to Edmonton in 1998. Brutal. Could. Not. Score.

I've heated Rene Corbet ever since he shot the puck right into Joseph's stick that series.

Definitely losing Forsberg and Foote and gaining Turgeon and Briseboise

What's wrong with Fraser?

97 FIGHT NIGHT in DET, maybe its just my perception but we just got jumped, we held our own for the most part but DET wanted blood, like a pitbull fighting a rabid dog and then to lose in OT. The win seemed to set the course of both teams for the rest of the season. And to not have Simon there hurt even more, he probably would have killed a couple guys.

97 Playoffs Gm4 against DET i believe. Got destroyed by the Wings and I think it came after Roy made some comment about Bowman not being that good of a coach or something. We all knew what he was trying to do, get the troops going after losing gm3, even up to that point the wings were dominating us
, and then to get humiliated in DET no less. ugh.

98 Playoffs Gm1 against EDM, Sakic was suspended right before the series started, we were up 2-0 and EDM mounts a comeback to win 3-2 on a Boris Mironov shot. Listening to sports radio after the game and you just got the sense that this wasnt going to end well. And it didnt, should have been a sweep. Plus that whole year was crap. Avs struggled guys were hurt, long winless streak, lack of depth. and i think Sakic missed like a ton of games cause he got his calf sliced open in the olympics.

99 Playoffs Gm6 --we had them!!, but eversince we won the cup in 96 this core group of players seemed to lack a killer instinct that like a dark cloud haunted this group until Roy retired. Losing leads , letting teams come back in series and so forth. Plus that 99 team was just a blast to watch, the super rookies in Drury and Hejduk, and Fleury. That series was brutal, Dallas seemed to go out of their way to prove how much better than us they were. 1 goal in the last two games. Blek.

Yeah, that stupid statue of liberty play

...and for some reason that McCarty slap shot in game 7 of 2002 to seal it really griped at me.

Management letting Bruno and Lappy walk was a big bummer for me.

Forsberg's splenectomy. Granted that year ended well for the Avs but at the time I feared it could end the run.

Steve Moore incident

Foppa signing with Philly

WCF losses to Dallas

Yeah he had like 9 goals in a 4 game sweep. Losing the deciding game
the way we did, with hardly anyone good in our line up. was bad. I even rank that blowout over the valentines day massacre.

Think it was 06 or 07 against the Ducks, got shutout in the first two games, but the real kicker was in Gm3 losing to Lupul who got all 4 ANA goals including the OT winner thanks to a horrible Brisbois pass. He beat Theo clean too, just sniped it in. Series over.

Out of about 150 games I've attended, that's the only one I ever left early.
