win or lose, we have to remember this is just (1) regular season game in the middle of the NHL season.

However, it will be a good barometer to see how this team matches up against the champs

I had originally planned with a friend and his wife to go to this game up in Boston, and now I'm going to be in NYC with my girlfriend right by the Garden instead, of course.

We've shown that we're definitely capable of winning a game like this. Get those two points boys. LGR!

we should have recalled avery for this game lol, just kidding. The Rangers have a good team when they play their game, their grinding game and they have a good pk...their biggest problem is the powerplay! they need to get that going and it needs to start today! And we need to play OUR game!

I have been looking forward to this game, but unfortunately with living in maine I will be forced to watch the NESN feed, since MSG will be blacked out and NHL network will most likely be blacked out.

Can someone explain that to me? All it does is give NESN more ratings, shouldn't there be a choice as to what channel you can watch it on no matter where you are to add more competitive nature between channels/broadcasts?

That's just my take on it, instead of being force fed broadcasts...

I don't see them winning this game the way they've been playing last couple of weeks. Even when they won their games lately I didn't see that courage and toughness from the team like I saw a month ago. I am not even talking about scoring goals as the they are all going through some rough time. When Hagelin has been the best teams player for the last couple of games its not a good sign and I am happy for him.

If anyone is driving up this AM, I'd advise you to take I-84 up through CT, then Mass Pike into Boston. It's snowing like a mofo here in Rhode Island. Could be a rough trip on I-95.

They know we cant score more than two goals a game lately. They could leave it empty and Richards would miss the net.

This match will, unfortunately, result in a loss. Boston plays at home and they have far more talent. I am just afraid, like others, that we end up with a massive injury to Girardi or something.

Tuukka hasn't lost in his last seven games, a stretch that includes 4 shutouts and Thomas has been on a bit of a slump lately. Thomas also started the last two games. So, it makes sense to play Tuukka today.

yeah when you look at it that way it does, but i just think since thomas is their number 1 and considered the best goalie in the league by everyone and in a game that is against a team that you are fighting for number one in the conference you should put your faith into your number 1 that won you a stanley cup last season. I would think there would be some loss of confidence

Start the parade to the penalty box , at least 2 5-3 against trying to contain guys like Horton and lucic. I think we've learned what trying to block Charas shot does . Boston is a juggernaut and we have John Mitchell as Wade Richards right flank ..... Hard to optimistic about this one

Nope. Tuukka's good. Plus we've got the Flyers tomorrow & Timmy's 9-0 in Philly.

Playing the reigning champs and arguably the best team in the league in their own barn? Play hard, keep it close, and leave without any injuries.

Can't wait for this game.

I got to see your team live in MSG last year and it was awesome, minus us blowing a 3-0 lead and losing..

Boyle's entire family will likely be there so hes going to be extra amped.

Toughest game of the season so far. Hopefully we come out on top of course but if we play hard and it's a close game I will still be proud of them.

Very nervous about Marchand staying in control and Jo 'turnover machine' Corvo.Have to believe Torts has a game plan to exploit this.

If any of you are at the game in the balcony near 310, if you see a girl in a white Kelly jersey come over and say hi.

Bickel/Prust/Rupp will all be very busy in the game and I hope Dubi/Boyle/Cally are also ready to take up the fight if needed . We don't need to win every fight...just tie them up and keep them honest and let Rupp & Bickel tackle the clowns like Lucic/Thornton and really...just avoid Chara altogether .

I do have a bad feeling that our crease will be like a drive thru in this game . If we can even get a point out of the game I would consider it almost like a victory on the road ...while a bad beating would signify that work needs to be done on our part to match up .

Will see game on tape after getting back from Las Vegas. It is a big game, for sure, but let's have some perspective. The name of the game is making the playoffs, can anyone name the last 20 President's trophy winners? Plus, we play them 3 more times, and generally we've done well against Boston.

No team is unbeatable. So far, Boston is no doubt the best team in the league, but injuries and trades play a part. Use the game as a measuring stick of if we really have a chance to be a true contender this year (don't listen to Dolan he's a retard) and decide if we should continue to build to next year and the year after, as we're doing, or sacrifice a little future to get that sniper we desparately need this year.

I hope both teams bring their A-game and we get to witness something special. I'm personally a little apprehensive. I expect your team to come out with guns blazing, maybe potting a couple in quick succession. Then hopefully the B's pride kicks in, and our top line gets a chance to shine.
