It means that when Poni is on the ice, his team tends to get more shots on the opposing net than shots against their net. It's a stat that reflects how good he is at puck possession, and with a large enough sample size, it is generally a reliable indicator of which team will win.
man rolstons must be through the roof! lets re-sign him when hes a ufa. wait...****

It's all shots directed at net, I believe (blocked shots and missed shots count). But that's the basic premise.
Clarkson won't be sent to the fourth line. Not the way he's been producing. If anything, Poni or Josefson will go to the fourth line.
We've all been upset at the lack of output from the fourth line. Playing a fourth line type player who's producing seems the best way to improve it. Carter can play and get Clarkie the puck. He can still get PP time. A player like Ponikarovsky or Josefson would be out of place with Boulton or, heaven forbid, Janssen and the fourth line remains an embarrassment. We don't want to look at it as being sent to a failing unit, as some kind of punishment.
The third line has been little better; maybe try one with three skill players when the option is available. Perhaps all six get to play more than ten minutes a night and therefore up to the pace of the game.
Janssen won't be playing down the stretch, and Boulton is more capable of taking a regular shift than you give him credit for. Clarkson just doesn't belong on the fourth line, he's a skill player.
I have absolutely no idea. Poni - Zajac - Clarkson would probably be even better. Although in my head, I'd imagine Yayo is in better game shape than Zajac right now.

Probably true for a while. It'll be interesting to see what DeBoer does. If everybody stays healthy, he'll have some talent to work with in the bottom 6.
