To be fair a couple of the Wild-related ones (definitely "Koivu's unending frustration") you suggested were the catalyst to trying to combine something Wild-related with something out there.

There are a lot of good suggestions from everyone. Tough to pick.

Watching the first UFC on FX replay is weird for many reasons but having Jon Anik and KenFlo call an event after years of Rogan and Goldberg makes it seem like a different promotion. Doesn't help that perception when there's only one good fight name-wise and the co-main event had Josh Neer (who's been in and out of the UFC 2 or 3 times).

First page b*****s!!!!!

So what time will the world end on December 21st? I'm guessing it'll be around 7:35pm central time....on a night when the Wild are FINALLY healthy......and at the exact moment when Zidlicky finally scores a goal on the powerplay. Lights out. It'll be a win-win situation. Fans will be able to have a drink and watch some hockey during the first period (before the world explodes), while being spared from Dumb and Dumber's "Faceoff" segment of the first intermission.

No just watch, Zids will take the shot and the world will explode while the puck is in mid flight. There will be 13 seconds remaining on the powerplay and 3:38 to go in the first.

Had a fun night.

First time with vodka, had fun. I was with some guys and when they heard I had never had vodka they pulled some out to have me try it and this big fat guy who bragged about his liquor said he'd give me $50 if I beat him in a race of four shots. Nobody thought I would even try. I lost by like two heartbeats.

After that I went to my first frat party and met some girls, danced with one for a while and walked her back to her dorm at the end of the night, got her phone number. Came back to my dorm and met a bunch of guys from my floor for the first time, we hung out sitting in a circle in our lobby for around 2 hours.

Fun night. Good thread title, btw. I dig it.

EDIT: Come home and see Jurassic Park is on TV. Nice.

And I realized this website has basically become my own personal blog sorry fellas

Speaking of UFC, I watched the movie Warrior last night. I'm not a fan of UFC, but the movie was really good. Had a great story and really intense fights.

I'd recommend.

You guys think Pacquiao/Mayweather fight will ever happen? Was reading some figures about how much money would be made and the projected ratings, etc. Just crazy.

I don't watch boxing at all and I'd still turn out for that fight. Just sound too good.

I am pessimistic just because of what has happened in the past with all the stipulations that Mayweather put on Pacquiao. With Pacquiao's last performance, it doesn't surprise me that Mayweather apparently wants to fight.

I cannot stand Mayweather. He is a good boxer but not nearly as great as his record. He has been very strategic in whom he fights and when...all the name guys he has beaten were at the twilight of their respective careers...anywho...just don't like the guy.

With all that said, I think Mayweather would beat Pacquio. Pac has problems with guys that have angles, speed, and can counter punch (JMM?).

pretty nice turnout at the open practice today. The guys were all smiles--i'm sure the organization just cringes when they have something like this scheduled and the team loses the night before. players gave a lot of their stuff away. Full payment gifts for STHs were signed practice jerseys...not to shabby.

Had lacrosse tryouts/first practice today. They told me they only have like four defenders on the entire roster right now so I'd basically be guaranteed a spot if I want to play. It was so nice to be able to pick up my stick again and mess around. I was a bit rusty and out of shape, but I'm stronger than I ever was in high school. I just need to work on my cardio a bit.

The guys were pretty cool too. My co-captain from high school doesn't know if he's going to play but I met a guy from a city nearby, we played against each other in high school alot and that was chill.

Talked to my parents and they said they can pay for it, so looks like I'll be playing for the Sioux come march! So pumped.

Plus I met a girl friday night and I talked to her last night(while I was a bit tipsy), we're supposed to hang out today at some point. I have no idea what to do though, I don't know where anything is on campus. Hopefully I can just chill at her dorm. I'd love to have her over at mine but my suitemate would probably wreck anything I have going on a first date.
