The tie breaker isn't wins, it's regulation and OT wins, and we would have 2 more than them.

The way Anaheim has been playing they might just run over everybody and get that 8th spot.

Before last nights OT loss we had an identical record with them... 6-2-2 in our last ten anyways.

I love how Canuck fans are getting nervous already about a possible matchup. They like to talk like the Canucks would steamroll us, but you know they are tossing and turning at night thinking about 2004.

Things are definitely looking more optimistic, this team cannot let up even for a period. And Kipper needs to continue be amazing. Without his heroics, this team is not in the spot they are in today.

Bad - Chicago, Minnesota, Anaheim all win

Good - Dallas loses in regulation, Colorado is down to Winnipeg in 2nd

Ducks are back in it. Flames and Ducks play an afternoon tilt on the last day of the season. Could be a big game.

Thought it was interesting to point out: We have the same number of points (65) as the SE Division Leading Panthers (3rd East) as of our win over the Kings.

In another division, we would be competing for a Division title

Yeah that Division is good news for the Jets, that may be the reason they squeak into the playoffs. That would be cool to see playoffs in the Peg this year. That place would be so loud.

The Jets have really been helping the Flames out the last few games with their wins.

I hope they squeak in, they deserve some playoff hockey.

Nothing makes me cringe more than seeing the teams who we're fighting with okay each other.

These stats have been looking much more pleasant as of late. Let's hope we can keep the foot on the gas.

Dallas, Colorado, and Chicago will have the extra game at hand during the deadline. Even if we slip into eigth spot, the Kings, Avs, and Stars will be right behind us. Basically, if Feaster decides we're buyers at the deadline, it's based on hunch because there's no way we can generate any playoff security going into the deadline.

Phoenix wins

Colorado up 3-0 after 2

LA up 2-0 after 1

MUST WIN

If we lose and the above results hold out I think Feaster goes into sell mode

Phoenix is playing great hockey right now, LA is to good not to snap out of its funk, and the Avs are heating up too. The Flames need to go on a tear to finish the season. If we lose tonight, guaranteed the Flames sell off some assets on Monday, Feaster obviously has got a feel from other GM's what they would offer for his players otherwise he wouldn't of made the comments he did to Millions.

And don't forget Anaheim. They could make a similar late-season charge like they did last year. Anaheim is only 6 points back of 8th and one of the hottest teams in the league right now.

For sure, they are definitely in the mix. Getzlaf and Ryan aren't playing at a top level, but Hiller has really come on.

Almost time to stick a fork in us. Team looks unmotivated, Kippers starting to look gassed. Feaster needs to try shake things up and try re-energize this team. Waive Karl and get Irving up here, Kipper needs some rest, put Iggy with Tangs and Cammy, let Olli, Glenny get their chemistry back and slap Comeau with them. We need a spark, anything.

Good line combos and I agree. I would also get Babchuk back in as he has an excellent breakout pass. I really, really hope we can get a 2nd for Sarich.

Time for the 3 most talented forwards on the team to play together. All 3 have had chemistry before.

Interesting assuming Chic and SJ add players to shore up they should stay in top 8 Dallas if they are big sellers should drop LA with the moves they made should move up . That leaves the Flames Col Ducks Minn trying to catch 8th . Tough to see us doing it if Feaster only adds depth guys . We'll just keep treading water till we drown.

8th place is crazy, a 3 way tie. With the exception of Anaheim, 5 points between the Kings and Coyotes for the division and being out of the playoffs. It's nuts.
