If we like to lose and killing penalties, call up Sestito.
I'd rather call up Corey Perry as well.
Sestito was impressive in all games he played for the Flyers except the last one before he got send down. I think you have to accept up and downs from a player like him at this stage of his career.
Does anyone remember the Dallas game?
Yeah, I'd take that effort against the Bruins every day of the week.
No Pronger, no Briere, no JVR, no Jagr, no Rinaldo... against Boston... we'll win.
It can happen, however improbable it is. At the very least, it will force us to simplify our game, which is always a good thing. I always think that we're a much better team when we try not to do the fancy stuff, put our heads down, and grind.
Two keys: 1) Bryz has to keep us in the game and maybe steal a goal or two and 2) our special teams have to be top notch

He's a dirty player. Just was suspended by the AHL last week. He has no business being on the Flyers IMO.
Trying to be optimistic here, but the current injuries to Jagr and Briere give me hope. G's game has gotten completely stale and he's been over-thinking/trying due to Jagr's presence, and Briere has been almost a waste this season. Now G has a chance to find himself again, and Coots and Schenn, who have been outplaying Briere IMO (I love Briere, for the record), have an opportunity to step up WITHOUT Lavy hurting Briere's feelings (and you know how he loves his vets' feelings). I think this is a great opportunity, personally.

NEWARK, N.J. - For the Flyers, the all-star break cannot come fast enough.
Center Danny Briere suffered a concussion in the Flyers' 4-1 win in New Jersey Saturday and is out indefinitely.
Late in the first period, Briere was flattened by Anton Volchenkov. Briere did not know if that was when he was injured; he was also hit by Patrik Elias in the third period.
Ugggh another concusion?!? In fairness Briere has not been playing good of late, maybe the time off will help the team overall (line mix ups, the kids stepping up and getting more playing time) and Jagr should rest until he's 100%, I think this makes for a huge game for tomorrow
Jagr has already missed games two separate times this season because of the injury. After the game, he said the ice conditions Saturday were “awful, so bad,” but that he wasn’t sure exactly when or how he aggravated the groin.
“It’s tough to say. There wasn’t any … it’s tough to explain it,” he said. “When it’s bad ice, soft ice, I have sharp skates, the edges won’t let you slide at all. It’s so much on the groin, on the legs.”
Jagr returned quickly from previous bouts with the groin injury. He missed two games in mid-November, then attempted a comeback before missing two more. He sat out another two games in early January because of the groin.
Now, he knows he’s going to have to take his time in order to not stress the injury further.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen,” Jagr said. “But at least if I make it to the All-Star Game, I can make it strong. When we come back, we play every other day.”
Quote:
“It’s not that bad,” he said. “Tomorrow, [maybe] it's not going to hurt tomorrow. But I just want to make sure it doesn’t happen anymore. I want to make sure everything else is strong.”
Zac Rinaldo was also injured at some point on Saturday. According to Holmgren, Rinaldo is day-to-day with an upper-body injury, though Rinaldo declined to speak to reporters after the game.
Along with Danny Briere’s concussion (see story), the potential absence of three players from tomorrow’s game against Boston means the Flyers will have to call in some reinforcements from Glens Falls.
According to a source, Tom Sestito and Ben Holmstrom will be recalled from the Adirondack Phantoms to fill the lineup vacancies.
In order to call up Holmstrom and Sesito, the Flyers will have to place two players on injured reserve.
