Strathroy and LaSalle have both made the playoffs there is only about 50 games in the GOJHL season and they are 6th and 7th so it might not be a long playoff run but looks like Chatham might miss the playoffs.

Studnika has 9G 11A for 20 Points in 46 games
Smith has 4G 9A for 13 Points in 36 Games
Dekort is 18-11-1 GAA 3.62 SV% .885 with 1 SO
McNaughton has 7G 19A for 26 Points in 28 Games
Kuchmey is 15-18-1 GAA 3.83 SV% .897 with 1 SO
Watson has 18G 20A 38 Points in 44 Games

The Above are all the Spitfire prospect playing in Junior B

Noticed on the draft thread for 1996"s that LW Brendan Lemeiux has committed to

U of north Dakota for 2014

He was definitely on Windsor's radar amongst others and I figured with Rychel and his

dad "s connection as former team mates in Col the Spits had a good chance of wrapping

this kid up,now not so sure

The trading of Webermin opened up a gold edc package maybe the spits will offer him

one who knows

They do have 2 to play with as of now,1 for the incoming 1st rder, the other to their

discretion

In Lemieux's case he will play for Green Bay of the USHL for the next 2 years prior to

college

Not sure if thats the best for his dev, just ask Ebert,Vail and Czinder,he needs to play

with better competition and the USHL is not it

Youngsters change their minds so perhaps this chapter is not done

Spits will need a gold package for the 2013 first rounder as all the current gold packages likely will not have a pro contract by then.

I hope not. These are commemorative jersey...would rather them not turn it into some "good luck" gimmick.

Nice Bounce back after an unlucky loss to the Whalers

Spits have played real well in London easily could be 3-0,instead of 2-1

Everybody who played contributed

Hope the fine play continues tomorrow against owen Sd

Great game by Rychel and Pavelka as both were less then stellar in their previous outings

Homer announcers gave it to Flemington. I'd have to see the fight again to see if Bowen tagged him to drop him to end the fight or if it was a slip. Watching it in real time I had it a draw.

Where was Bilcke tonight?

Kerby with the natural hat trick, even if one was in the empty net - he showed hustle to beat his man to the puck after he missed the shot from just past center ice.

I'm really liking how Braithwaite plays the game. He doesn't let the opposition have any easy ice and when he gets the puck its off the glass and out. The whole team looked fantastic weathering the storm in the 3rd period, especially on the pk. I think it makes a huge difference finally having all the defencemen back and now familiar with the systems. Rychel with his 36th of the year, the lazy 3rd line grinder type is sure silencing his critics.

I`m not so impressed by that London team. They have lots of skill, no doubt about it, but they don`t do a very good job of going to the net hard with the puck. It doesn`t make sense because they have guys who could do it like Watson and Knight, but they prefer to play a puck control finesse game on the perimeter to find the perfect shot. They need to fix that if they want to do anything in the playoffs, I wonder how much they miss Dale behind the bench. Having Dylan Hunter drawing up plays during time outs shouldn`t happen on a supposed cup contender. That team is ripe for an upset.

Otto, my guess is Bilcke is getting ready for Zweep tomorrow night. That's the one guy he hasn't faced yet, out of the major ones.

He did fight Devane last night so maybe BB told him not to fight basically 3 nights in a row

Good road game by the Spits. Played well positionally and the Knights wouldnt pay the price last night.
Spits won most battles needed to win in this league. They are learnign what it takes to compete in this league but will still have inconsistencies due to youth. Looking good thou for the future. Add a couple high end talents and they are on pace for 2014.
The scrap looked pretty even. Flem caught him early but Bowen looked to catch him late

Good luck tonight, a special one for Spit fans and one many OHL fans honour as well.

I can't remember Bilcke even getting a shift - my "Where was Bilcke" was more "Did he dress" than why didn't he fight.

Bilcke had a few shifts in the second, he played with Czinder and MacQueen on one that had the Knights pinned in and ended in a goal mouth scramble.

Johnson getting into a fight to boot.

Clark and Rose seemed to be finished even before the linesmen were ready to break it up - linesmen were too busy moving the cloves and sticks out of the way.

Game is getting chippy. I don't know why Gemel Smith wasn't booted for his antics in the scrum - the linesman seemed to have a long discussion with him after the fact but nothing came of it.

Zweep and Bilcke will happen some time tonight. It seems like everybody is just waiting for it.

Cully much be hating being on the bench as things could break out into a line-brawl and his chance to go Stajcer.

I believe Bowen is dressed - so he's another option if things get really chippy or OS goes up two or three goals on us.

Him and Dom are the same... they will gush praise on pretty much every player and will never say anything remotely critical.

Now if Pavelka can stop the shots he should stop... can make those amazing saves but had a hard time stopping the easy one.
