Nine months to recover from lacerated kidney? Wow.

As for the game tonight - I'm expecting us to win big. 5-1 feels about right.

If we cant win this game tonight... might as well just pack up the rest of the season as we wont make the playoffs.

Agreed. Nothing more to be said than that. Except, please no too many men on the ice penalties!

I would hope they have one of their best performances of the year but there are a lot of question marks surrounding how hard some players have competed lately.

This to a certain extent.

They have improved when they are giving the effort but still lack the consistency as far as the effort itself goes.

Playoffs don't matter until they get through the regular season and every game the rest of the way has to be a big game for them.

Time for the kids to learn how to deal with the pressure because if they hope to be here in two years time the pressure will only grow from this point forward.

The Hound's will be "Jacked" tonight..should be a fun game both teams will win...one a playoff spot and the other a better draft pick
So whatever you do tonight say HiJack

Whats the status on Windsor's injured players? I know Koko is out, what about Ebert?

Soo is healthy in full, and obviously Campbell will start.

I can recall one fan doing that, please don't lump all of us into one group. Most of us thought we'd be a lower seed playoff team. I don't think anyone predicted at the start of the season it'd be the Hounds fighting to get into the playoffs.

Didn't realize fans had any hand in the outcome of this game. I should have been trying harder when they were in that long slump.

Tough to blame him for venting, that one person that you mentioned has been instagating things for 8 months. Ive even lost patience. But hey, that poster has fun, so thats what matters, doesn't matter if he ruins everyone elses fun.

Oh I know which is why I didn't want to be lumped in with him. I enjoy the rivalry even if the Hounds have been on the losing end of it lately.

Spits outplaying Hounds, but Hounds have the lead 1-0 after two. Campbell playing really well - but it's the type of game where the flood gates will open once the Spits get their first one.

Hounds are basically deploying four men back - in a defensive shell trying to eek out a 1-0 win it seems. Could even play for the tie, figuring they have the better chance come a shootout for the extra point and have the Spits at home yet.

Spits lose in OT 2-1. Clarke evened it up midway though the third. Boys played a really solid game tonight - almost to a man - and seemed the ice was slanted in their favor. Guelph lost to the Knights, so the Spits actually move up to 7th in the standings with 61 points, with Guelph and Soo with 60 now, but both have a game on hand.

Spits have Sarnia in the WFCU on Sunday and if they come out with the same energy they could surprise them.

Tough one to analyze.

30 min of hockey, 30 min of "um, what do I do?"

Clarke was invisible (which is tough to do when you're not a fast skater), until his goal. Props for the goal, but man he's hard to watch at times.

Czinder looked like a one-man wrecking crew. Those goal posts will never be the same.

Campbell v. Pavelka...other than the first goal (which was a really odd bounce), it was even. I don't get giving Campbell the first star as the Spits had very little offence, but what can ya do?

Can someone please find Kerby Rychel and tell him he's wanted at the arena on Sunday?

Hit of the game, regardless of what the board said, was Brady Vail putting a Hound into the air with a beauty hip check. That said, I thoroughly enjoyed Chris Marchese leveling Nick Cousins at the end of the first, causing Cousins to complain.

Guelph lost and the Sault is still behind us, so somehow we manage to actually leapfrog into 7th. Both of them have a game-in-hand this weekend, so I'll be watching closely. Um, go Knights?

I can't believe how much time Kerby spent falling on the ice (it's usually Maletta) and at this point he needs to step up his game not just watch the pucks go on by.

Agree thought the Spits played well overall could not catch a break in the 3rd
Campbell should kiss the post and crossbar they saved him from defeat
Would have interesting if Koko played and Cousins did not, even though he did not get a point Cousins is their best offensive player
Nurse and Curcurruto were solid for the Hounds

Need some offence on Sunday

Wow, only 4 games to go. The Spits really need to win on Sunday. It will be the third game in less than three days for the Sting. It will be interesting to see if Anderson or Hope gets the start.

Guelph has 5 games left including two with Erie, so they should get at least 3 points from those games. I think they'll finish 7th.

You just know it will come down to the last game for the Spits in the Soo. It will be their third game in 3 nights, so the odds will be stacked against them. What would happen if they end up tied in points with 1 or both of those teams when the season ends? What would the tiebreakers be?

It's also not looking good for the Petes to win anymore games, so whoever finishes
9th in the West will likely have the 4th pick in the draft.

I believe 8th place tie-breaker is a one-game playoff.

If there's ever a reason to teach and stress "every point counts", the last two years have been it for the Spitfires. Last year, beating Saginaw in Saginaw in OT might have saved the season (imagine a game 7 in Erie??). This year, it's coming down to the last weekend. As much as I hate the stress, it's also really exciting. It's essentially the playoffs...now.

I think it's interesting I don't necessarily think it's exciting. For the longest time I have read here that Guelph and Soo aren't very good they have been playing awful hockey. Well during that time span the Spits never really opened up a big lead on them, they might not have played well but Windsor hasn't played much better. They got the bare minimum out of last night getting a point to stay ahead of teams but the fact is they didn't get a win. Over their next 4 games I think they need to win 2 of those games and grab a point in another game, we will know more after the game against Sarnia because if they don't get it done they are looking at having to win 2 of their final 3 and quite possibly having to get 5 of 6 points. Looking at the game last night it's quite obvious they need to acquire a few gifted playmakers that can put the puck in the net. The Khokhlachev loss hurts but that can only explain so much, he only plays with 2 other forwards so that can explain why a couple of them might struggle that doesn't absolve the other forwards on the team and doesn't explain their struggles and scoring 3 total goals in their last 3 games, that isn't acceptable at any level.
