Nah, only the Spit fans brains would fry in frustration as their team gets routed by the much better London Knights

You've already done London proud boys..and silenced many critics along the way. This fan didn't think this was your year..and I'll honestly admit that. Win or lose the fans of London have already won.

One more time....always..Have A Purpose.

GO GET 'EM BOYS!!!

I would agree London fans should be very proud of this years team regardless of todays final game
I too did not expect them to be this far yet
Thought next year would be the run year, still will be a run year btw
Without former Spitfire Austin Watson and Brett Cook they might not have outside the 2nd rd of the playoffs

Watson was the key acquisition and I said that at the deadline. Without that one deal...London isn't there.

Watson has been a beast. Watching him play you know that he will have a solid NHL career ahead of him. Nashville will suit him well.

x2 You guys did your part to keep those uppity Sea Dogs from repeating, and now it's time to just lay down for the hosts. I've got my strongest whammy hex on Houser already, so it should be a done deal. No cup for you London, that's Tom Selleck's cup!

Game day!!!!!

Tough matchup with the way shawinigan has been scoring. The overage goalie has prolly been sharper than houser as well.
Gotta win more draws than first matchup
Limit odd man rushes
Match their intensity
Pressure the points
Have someone step into that hero role

When will they be announcing the hosts of the 2014 Memorial Cup? Doesn't that happen before or after the game tonight?

Nothing worse than losing in the finals to a team that didn't even deserve to be there!!!

It was a great year and I expect more of the same next year.

Congrats Knights!

Upset that they couldn't pull it off this year

But that being said, we were never meant to be here this year. The boys got close, but couldn't pull out the win. Next year they will be hungry. Hope they dominate the whole year. Never know if you will make it to the cup again though, hope we didn't miss our chance.

Be upset... but the "didn't deserve to be there" excuse is complete BS.

They defeated all 3 League Champions on their way to the championship. If they "didn't deserve to be there", then they should have been bounced long before this point.

Actually only 2, they themselves were the 3rd champion

Same with Shawinigan owning the Knights

Random Side Note: I'm hoping the Devils-Kings series is high scoring. I have the most players left in my hockey pool (5 NJ + 5 LA + LA goalie, that's right, out of the 17 players I picked before the playoffs start I still have 11 left) but I have a lot of catching up to do in the standings haha. Hoping it goes to a game 7 with NJ ending on top, want to see Brodeurs storied career end with a cup win (I think he will retire 100% for sure if he wins the cup, leave when on top )

Shawinigan a very deserving champion. 4 wins in 5 days!
running the table on all CHL representitives and champions!
as much as it pains me... being a goal away from the ultimate goal- fall but short...As a Knights fan. I strongly pass this onto the returning squad of the London Knights of 2012/13...
"Hate to lose!"
that's the mentality the 04/05 felt like when they might of lost! a streak of 31-0-1.
We'll see you win September! Go Knights Go!
One Proud Knights fan, Regardless!

While visiting and posting on this site for the last 2 months or so ,it is no secret that I am not a Knights fan, still not however as mentioned before in a previous post the Knights, their players, coaches and fans should hold their heads high,as they gave all they could but could not pull off the biggie
A team that probably was a year ahead of the curve, sometimes u win ie St Johns and Windsor, sometimes u dont, losing will make them that more hungrier next year
While losing Watson,Knight,Names,Tinordi,Cook and Mckegg is significant, the talent case is still significant to get them to the Mem Cup in Saskatoon next year
Me thinks that they are fav to win the OHL again next year
I fully expect Houser to return as an O/A
Wrapping it up great season by the Knights

That was a tough one to lose. Thought London had more high end scoring chances than the other team that they just couldn't bury. McKegg, Watson, Ruperts, Tinordi, Athanasiou all had at least one very good look in the last few minutes of the 3rd. Still got the real championship though which should not be forgotten. Shawinigan won the artificial title as I like to call it so **** em.

Shawinigan was a deserving winner in my mind and in the minds of most hockey people, only some sour London fans will say otherwise,a league title is nice,a mem cup title is nicer
Besides they beat the other league champs once or twice if its London, the Knights did not
In 3 years nobody will remember outside of London people of course who won the league title this past year, but those in La belle Province will remember who won the mem cup emblamatic of jr hockey supremcy, not some league championship

They are a deserving winner in the sense that they beat 3 league champs. However, one cannot overlook the luxuries of having over a month off to prepare and recharge while the other 3 teams are going through the gruelling four round playoffs. They mentioned Brandon Gormley gained 10 pounds after getting eliminated. Doesn't matter, it's the way the format is but this year seemed even more cheap considering the building had no insulation causing the "best junior players in the world" basically falling in puddles from day one on. And that French ref with the host team calls on those video reviews made the tournament looke like an abolute fix right from the start. And what's high sticking in French? They just completely ignored that rule last night.
