It defiantly is and every jets game ive went to he had a huge game and absolutely got the crowd into it (including the on against Ottawa on the 29th) That being said many Winnipeggers are just plain ******** (not saying all my best friend lives in winnipeg and there are some nice people) it definatly isnt good publicity for a city that doesnt have much else going for them to attract free agents
Are you serious? Basically you're saying at least two 1st rounders for Kane?
2 first rounders (minimum) for kane sounds about right.
in real terms, evander's minimum cost is a 1st and a 3rd rounder (if he reaches RFA status, making ~$3.1 -- 900k base salary, 2.2m from bonuses -- on his last year of the ELC, and we/another team offfer sheets him).
no way winnipeg deals for anything less than that since his compensation as RFA is is fairly high. evander's looking to be a legimate 30+ goal scorer, but so is kessel and look where toronto is.
If this were offered, and the NMC were waived, how would my fellow Sens fans feel about a deal like this, if it were offered? :
To EDM :
7th in 2012
To OTT :
1st in 2012
Oilers get rid of Horcoff, one of the worst (maybe THE worst) contracts in the league, and free up space to resign Hall, Eberle, RNH, Paajarvi, etc in the years to come, and Sens use some of their ample cap space to take on the cap dump but get a high pick in a deep draft for doing Edmonton the favour.
We should still have enough space to resign Karlsson, Cowen, Turris, Zibby, 2012 first, etc going forward, especially with the Alfie, Cheechoo, and Emery buyouts off the cap after this year (frees up almost 2 million in cap space right there, which absorbs roughly 1/3 of Horcoff's cap hit).
Maybe we add a middling prospect too, like a Gryba for example.
Don't flame too hard, but what do you all think?
P.S. For those that don't know, Horcoff has a 5.5 cap hit for 3 years after this one.
