Oilers big 3 wingers

What would your team offer for one of Hall, Eberle and Yakupov? Oilers are in desperate need of some size and grit

this ends well.

Fans offer more than fair and every Oilers fans respond emotions saying how Hall is the greatest player ever and so and so isn't even close in value.

Makes 0 sense to trade any of the stars you have, you build around them.

There's always UFA for that. There's always plenty of size and grit come July, but rarely do you see the elite scorers these days on the open market in trade or in UFA. Hold onto them.

Oh FFS You don't trade young star players for "size and grit"

How about, rather than blowing this team up, you keep your top 6 which in a few years will likely be one of the top 5 scoring teams in the league, and build a gritty bottom 6 to compliment the skilled top 6?

I love how so many Oilers fans are panicking because of a bunch of kids not destroying the league. Hall and Eberle are probably the closest to their primes. They are still around 3-5 years from that. People are just getting crazy.

This guy gets it.

Teams generally don't trade 1st overall picks within 2-3 years of drafting them, or players who just cracked the 70 point barrier last year!

You know would really help the Oilers out? Playing outside of conference. There are a good 4-5 teams in the West who just HAVE their number (Dallas, Minnesota, Calgary beat them pretty much 9 times out of 10, Colorado and Vancouver both are usually pretty good against them, too). With all the games in-conference, the Oilers are gonna be hard-pressed to make the playoffs this year.

No need to panic. Stay the course. One thousand points of light.

I'd consider Letang for Eberle

While Callahan has had a terrible year, I can't see the Rangers wanting to move him, even for the Yak.

Gio + Glencross for Yakupov/Hall.

Using The Kessel trade as the model:

Eberle: 2013 1st, 2013 2nd, 2014 1st
Hall: 2013 1st, 2014 1st
Yakupov: 2013 1st, 2013 2nd

I know (at this point) Edmonton needs roster players, not more picks, but that to me is the value of each.

?????????????????????

Sooooo Yakupov, a recent 1st overall should be traded for... maybe a 30th overall who's further behind in development...???

Here is the question

Where are the oilers going to get their grit from?

The Oilers are all skill and no grit and it becoming a problem

Carolina offers Chad LaRose for Eberle.

Hurricanes get a legit 3rd line player to compliment Tim Wallace and Jussi Jokinen, Oiler's get a gritty veteran who can easily score 30 points playing with RNH and Hall.

Hall for Ryane Clowe + Michal Handzus + Doug Murray + 2nd

Clowe is probably the best tough guy with offensive touch being shopped around, Handzus adds grit and is also excellent in faceoffs, Murray provides you with an intimidating presence.

Clowe 6.2 225
Murray 6.3 245
Handzus 6.5 215
