B. Burke calling about Boobie even as we write these posts.
B. Ryan for some minor leaguers, and a couple of exercise bikes!! BM jumps at the offer.

I really don't agree with that. Was Anaheim out-played? Yes. But totally dominated? No way. Scoring chances were a lot closer than the shot count. Going into the 3rd, it was 8-10 in favor of the Avalanche. The Avs were shooting from everywhere. Hell, Bobby Ryan had three breakaways.

I thought Hiller was great, but the game was not as lopsided as the shot count suggests.

Dominated? Avs gambled all game, thus all the breakaways for Ryan.

That reminded me of the old Ducks v Sharks game, where the Sharks would literally reach the blue line and just shoot. Colorado Threw everything at the net.

It's always great to win when you don't play your best. It's also great to see the team hold on when the game came close to slipping away.

Was I the only one that thought the Getzlaf hooking call in the 3rd was BS?

I thought it was a good call. Just inconsistent with the way the game had been called.

I didn't know you could get a hooking call when you hook the stick

Avs dominated 1st. They were a little better in 2nd, and we were a little better in the 3rd. Avs were better but we pounced on our opportunities better and had better goaltending. Game wasn't as lopsided as shot count portrays.

Two guys I give **** to a lot were solid, Brookbank and Pelley. Good game by both.

Hiller was great as was top line again. 2nd and 3rd lines have disappeared past few games. This like last year. RPG and Hiller winning games for us. Getz was pretty beast tonight aside from his bad turnover.

2nd line generated good scoring chances, just didn't get the puck in the net

Any word on Brookbank? We couldn't tell if he hobbled off due a shot hitting him or due to getting his legs tangled and turning an ankle.

I like Mark Bell he added a little edge to the team, slow and horrible fighter though

The 3rd line has looked brutal constantly getting outmuscled and pinned.

I think we better keep Blake on the third line.

Hagman-Koivu-Selanne> Blake-Koivu-Selanne.

I saw the first five minutes of the game and BRyan9's shortie, and then French's post game interview with Hiller. At first I thought French said Hiller stopped 23 of 25, but of course I misheard. Ah well, a wins a win. Yay 4 points.

P.S. Any word on why Lydman was a late scratch?

Lydman was scratch due to the flu. For the streak that the Ducks are on, I don't believe we are still 4 games below .500. Amazing how bad this team was before 2012.
