as great as this win is, sb 42 will always be the bigger game. that game had it all and it doesn't get better than david knocking off goliath that was 18-0. it was eli manning's coming out party as no 1 ever believed he had that in him. yesterday's win as others said just validates eli in many ways and categories. just think 5 years ago where he was and where he is today. that is why the nfl is my 2nd favorite sport. us giant fans were pretty much calling for his head that year and before it started, maybe even thinking he was never going to pan out. fast forward 5 years 2 super bowl titles, 2 sb mvp's, and thousands of critics/haters all silenced. congratulations to eli manning, you truly deserve all the accomplishments you have achieved. job well done, heres hoping hes with us for another 8 years.
what happens if eli gets his 3rd ring and 3rd sb mvp? in my mind he becomes the games greatest qb. remember brady didn't become an offensive powerhouse until his 7th year in that 2007 season. eli just completed his 7th season, so hes just getting warmed up! that also means good news for the jets fans.
really hoping someone brings the lombardi trophy to the garden tommorrow night since ill be there
haha that would be awesome! i will be there as well, im trying to debate going to the parade tomorrow and then going straight to msg since i live in SI. after the wild card round, david diehl was at the rangers-panthers game on 1/5 at msg. crowd went nuts when they announced his name.

That to me sounds like the perfect day. Bask in the glory of the Giants winning a Super Bowl, then head to the Garden to watch the Rangers beat the **** out of the Devils.

oh hell yes! its actually better that the parade is at 11 am this year i think in 08 it was 9 am if i remember. i figure if its at 11 this year, there won't be too much downtime between the ending of that and game time.
p.s as much as i hate the patriots and tom brady, i really have the utmost respect for brady, bellicheck, and the patriots org has a whole. seeing bb give coughlin a hug was a touching moment and you could see how much they and both teams really respect one another. i feel bad for kraft and the year he has had, with his wife passing and during that time was very instrumental in the new cba. year in and out they contend, for god sakes that was their 5th superbowl together. this day and age in any sport, that is amazing. these guys dont have to worry, they will still be in the HOF first shot.

i think im going to be doing the same thing hah since im living in the bronx, it would be really awsome to see the trophy there, i know tynes was at one of the games after i think the SF game.
If Eli plays again another 7=8 years, he could get 50k yards, which would put him top 5 all time.
70 k is a little out of reach, unless he plays into his 40s.
i deffinitally think thats doable, eli has to have another 7 real good years left in him. hes a talented qb but hes also a very smart one and that wont diminish over time.
I dont know if anyone saw it. This guy was wearing A Rangers/Giants shirt during the intermission of the flyers game on sunday where Al does the interviews it had the Giants NY symbol with the Rangers logo inside the NY and had the roman numerals for the superbowl beneath. It was a sick shirt. Would love to get one.. It might have been like a bootleg shirt that they sell outside the garden..
Looking ahead for a bit here, Giants should be in good shape next season, not too many big FA's. Hopefully the draft is loaded with OLine potential...
2012 free agents:
Ballard (exclusive rights),
Bernard,
Goff (gotta bring him back and hope he's healthy),
Deon Grant,
Manningham (expendable),
McKenzie,
Pascoe (RFA),
Ross (never a fan of his),
Terrell Thomas (same boat as Goff),
Devin Thomas,
Tollefson (I like him, should come somewhat cheap),
Tryon,
Osi has a year left as far as I see, but we all know what might happen there,
Weatherford (bring that man back)

Nicks and Cruz are a great 1/2, I hope that one of the younger guys can develop into a slot threat, and money that would have been put towards MM can be put to the LB or OLine.
Love Manningham, but I'd lose him before Nicks/Cruz...also don't want this to overshadow my euphoria, just wanted to peek ahead!
Manningham is a great WR but the guy is gonna get paid. I don't know if we can commit the money to him that he's probably capable of getting. A shame too, since I really like Ham.
I hope T2 is healthy next year and Prince can step up and take over for Ross, don't think we should resign him.

I am being level headed. They just don't have anyone to replace Manningham. Address TE, OL, LB and RB through the draft.
I would like to keep Rio, but to be honest, previous experience with these sorts of situations would indicate that he would rather be a #1 somewhere else.
