Must be. He's listed at 5-10 170! I'm fine with the weight, but you'd think he could get up to 180, 190. Thats small.

Only problem with Fontaine is that he's a top-six or bust guy in the NHL and don't know about his skillset being NHL top-six.

Yup, he's usually listed at 5'10"/5'9" and pretty slim. He never played a very physical game, either.

He strikes me as one of those guys who preys on lesser competition, but may not be able to elevate to an every shift top-6 forward. The physical pressure that he would face just seems like it would be too much.

In all honesty, I see a lot of Casey Wellman in him. A great guy to have around in a pinch (injuries, etc), has really good hands in the right situation, but doesn't fit in the bottom-6, and doesn't fit on a good team's top-6.

What do you all think about Cuma? I haven't seen him play much, but does anyone think he can make the jump to the NHL(either next season or after? Or is he gonna be stuck down in Houston and become another 1st round bust.

The guy needs to show he can stay healthy before any real assessment can be made.

I don't think he's put together one healthy season since being drafted, so it's really tough to say for sure.

I'm perfectly comfortable calling him a bust, but he still has potential. I mean, it's not like he's Sheppard...

I'd consider this being a healthy season. He played 73 games. I can't say how he did because I don't get to watch the Aeros play too much. And he made his NHL debut. I'd say one more year until he's certifiably bustable.

You mean when Saint John plays against teams that aren't 100% horrible, the Sea Dogs don't score 6-8 goals a game, and Phillips and Coyle don't put up ludicrous PPG figures?

The st. John sea dogs goalie seems to be pretty good. Is he draft eligible or been picked yet?

Interesting thing to note, the highest scoring "true Canadian" on Saint John is Huberdeau in 5th in team scoring. (Phillips played US hockey prior to CHL instead of the usual Canadian method)

Yep.

Oh well. It'll be interesting to see how they respond. They beat up on the weaker opponents, so I'll be curious to see how they respond to tougher opponents.

They're still only playing the seventh-best team right now.

They're top 3 in terms of talent... They loaded up for a cup run... Shawinigan and Victo were also top 5 but the failed miserably...

Looks like the folks in the World Championship Team Sweden thread don't expect Larsson or Brodin to make the team.

To make it fair for the other countries.

It looks like the playoff stats are pretty good for everybody. Its nice to know that they at least know what it feels like to win.

Granlund wasn't supposed to make it either last year. Also I am ok with a 18 and a 19 year old not making the team usually composed of men. Unlike USA and Canadia, European countries build their teams because they want to win.

Still. Think Larsson makes it as a third/fourth line center.

Brodin might sneak in too, kid can play shutdown well

I really wish Lucia would have played in at least the USHL this year.

Sweden will probably have a pretty loaded team with Red Wings, Canucks etc. getting eliminated so early. However, IIRC, Pär Mårts likes to have his team relatively young, so who knows.
