JT always gets it up for the Leafs so I'm expecting a dominant performance today and tomorrow leading into the AS break.

I'm hoping for 3 points out of the next two games. So let's start with a win tonight. Great GDT, btw!

edit: Do you have a link for the poster? I haven't seen the version with the 25 related headline in the other thread. Thanks in advance.

As for the game - on the leafs gdt, there were quite a few posts about the Isles "bullies" having a field day with them. Also, they were saying Haley and Martin were going to dominate the physical play...

I am missing something here? First of all, Haley isn't even playing. Second, the Isles are not a physical team at all, except for Martin.

That's what we want them to think. If the Toronto players think we are bullies, that's half the battle.

Great job as usual, Law.

Did anyone send or tweet that movie poster to Neil Greenberg? Better yet, Howie or Butch?

Exactly, I don't think many of us would be opposed to seeing him for both nights

I am from Toronto...most of the fans are bandwagoners really. The team sucked for so long, the real hockey fans are fans of other teams. That comment was obviously made by someone that doesn't follow the league very much. Haley has not played that many games this year.

Anyway..awesome GDT...

We should not get over confident..our Achilles heal is consistency and we haven't showed that in a long time, though, I must say..since around xmas, the boys have been playing relatively well, even when we lost, they played well.

This is an important game and against a pretty good team on their turf so we have to get psyched up and kick some butt.

Best poster ever Props to Stump again for it. It's flawless.

Let's take this boys. No days off. Seeing the Leaf fans talk about Haley makes me miss him on this team. He SHOULD play with us, but I'll leave that alone. All about the team tonight.

Loved the GDT. I actually saw that movie. I don't want to give away too much, but in the end, Mr. Tavares becomes a perennial allstar and one of the top players in the game.

LET'S GO ISLANDERS!!!

Excellent GDT Law.

Love the little blurb at the bottom of the poster from the director that brought you "Gretzky defining mediocrity".

Don't have a good feeling about this one. The Leafs have lots of speed on their top lines, Kessel and Lupol are very slick and talented. Isles have to play better than they did against the Canes, especially from the start, and have to slow them down.

Nice GDT!

Looking forward to the game tonight, the Leafs are frustrating as hell so obviously I hope they win this one. Leafs-Isles playoff series was one of the best in recent memory so I really want another playoff matchup in the next few years! Though it wouldn't be the same without Tucker.

I'd ride Nabby into the break as long as he plays well tonight. He'll get off a few days and maybe start Monty 1st game back in net to give Nabby some extra time. Everyone will be "rusty"-ish after the break, ASG participants not included, so imo that's a good time to give Montero a shot.
I feel a big night for Grabs tonight. JT extends streak early in 1st but Grabs gonna get going tonight

If we are going to go anywhere this season we absolutely need these 2 games. I say Nabby keeps us in it early, and than we watch the John Tavares show.

Hattrick Tavares, Isles win 5-2

I'm feeling you, JT is going to tear it up in his hometown.

It's JT's world, we just live in it.

DVR!!!!!11!!! Seriously, if you don't own one, you need to make it the next purchase before medical supplies and food because it is that important to a hockey fan these days.

Great GDT. Hope they can beat the Leafs who have been struggling, but I said that about the Ducks too...

I know that I'm getting ahead of myself, but seeing how well Tavares plays against the Canadian teams, how cool will it be to see the isles in the postseason against Canadian teams?

let's go Isles

Awesome GDT as usual. Too bad there's no place to get that poster full sized!

I sense another big game from JT tonight.

Fight between Crab and Gunnarson in practice the other day.

That kind of stuff always seems to wake up teams in funks. The Islanders better be prepared.

Worried about this game. They spend a whole Sunday in Toronto with all sorts of distractions. Wouldn't be surprised if they come out real dead.
