Is Jimmy Howard the scrappiest goalie in the league today?

I would say yes. He hasnt actually had an NHL fight yet but he had 2 in the AHL. He regularly scrums it up and goes after guys if they hit him. He endeared himself to Detroit fans when he went after Crosby, but has went after others like Backes tonight in the St Louis game, Perron the last time they played and a couple others as well.

Hes no Hextall but I think hes the scrappiest goalie the league has got now.

Thomas seems to have a bit of bite to his game as well, and I considered Emery too but now that he is hardly playing I dont think he is either. He had one fight with a guy and another in practice but never seems to get cray in games often.

So what do you think?

Craig Anderson is, or at least was really scrappy.

I don't know about Thomas' fight record, but my goodness is he a bulldog. Also, Timmy is awesome in general.

Thomas closely followed by Price (and then Johnson)... Price could have been involved in 2 career fights if the ref didn't stop Conklin... Price had his mask off and was ready to go.

If by "scrappy" you mean flailing his arms like a little girl, maybe... Howard needs to be careful or he's going to get run hard one of these days. Next time, somebody like Backes, might not make an attempt to jump over Howard like Backes did last night. He'll just explode right into Howard.

Right now I'd say Thomas but Howard is up there. But when Robin Lehner enters the league you will all be up for a treat lol. He's a madman

I don't think Thomas would be as scrappy if he didn't have those guys who can fight like no other in front of him. Just my opinion.

Got to be Thomas. He is a typical no talent goon Bruin who is ruining the NHL.

Really? Crosby was taking liberties at his teamate and he goes after Crosby makes him a little girl? He does have a temper but all the incidents i see him in are just Howard standing up for himself

Ray Emery, Mike Smith, and Brent Johnson would probably handle Jimmy Howard pretty easily, as well as Tim Thomas for that matter.

Or he can just take it, the Wings pull the players away... and the next thing you know players know they can get away with it like they can the Sedins. Eff that. I say good on Jimmy Howard, and any goalie in the league that sticks up for themselves... no matter how much hate they get on any forum.
