I'm just hoping MarJo and Semin come away concussion free from this game.

This will be like the old days when Semin would singlehanded beat 2 3 4 sometimes even 5 guys to score his goals.

Lets tube any goals we score in slow motion, showing how foolish the defender and toolman look. Hopefully spurring a panic fire sale by Boston's GM who swears he didn't dose, GM at the ready to pounce.

A cake walk to the cup. Nailed it.

One of these is not like the others...

"Caps have $22.5 million out of lineup tonight in Alex Ovechkin, Nicklas Backstrom, Mike Green and Jeff Schultz."

For how uneven this game is going to be the odds on it are pretty good

vokoun has a big game. i can see it. the caps still have semin and wideman and brouwer and laich for the power play.

Probably the lowest game expectation of the season for a caps fan for this one.

If it's Thomas, it'd be good for fans sitting near the glass behind his net to wear tin foil hats, wave around black toy helicopters and maybe flash one of those insane-looking chalkboard diagrams that Glen Beck used to scrawl.

I'm actually looking forward to this game. If we pull out a win it defies all odds. If we lose, nobody can complain because this is an expected loss. Most of all, I'm going to look for future possibilities after this game. As posted in the Pitt-Caps thread, I am kind of looking forward to Johansson-Perreault-Semin line. In reality, I expect a very tired Caps team after running around the defensive zone. I also expect a lot of bags of ice for the players after the game. Sadly, this is a must win game and make the losses to NYI and Carolina hurt more.

Go Caps!

We just can't play like half azzed pansies. No slackers. Its starts with Semin and Laich leading our offense.

Do it for Ovi. And for the love of the game, ****ing hit someone and then jump in the air afterwards. Or, simply unbuckle the knees at impact to ensure no Hanna Suspensionana.

Nylander doesn't need to pass to perform the cycle. Hell just skate around the net for a min before turning the puck over.

Post lockout the entire league is largely a bunch of emotionless sissies.

Dale told you, it's a different era. Few talk about it and just accept it.

I wish one of you lurking writers would do piece on how the game was changed and why. Whose vision(s) are we seeing? Was changing the league for the best? Concussions seem up, to stars the most it seems (where is the protection?), scoring seems down, and the games far far too often seem boring to me, again, lacking emotion.

Whoever will one day do the analysis, I think will see that Ovi in his pre-clamped down greatness, was THE biggest draw in the NHL.

The old NHL was perfect for him. The new game is for sissies.

this made me laugh. as did the news that double-nickel, finally allowed out of the doghouse, is now sick.

in other news, i liked 8's explanation for why he is passing up ASG. i guess the discussion is over at Caps-Pens GDT. i suggest separate thread for the suspension/ASG/aquatic-and-mindless conversation

The only thing Laich could lead is a parade with that big yapper of his.
