Is it possibly related to the laceration he took a few weeks ago? Was that even on the same leg?

Also, perhaps now is the time to call up Robak....

What the hell did he do? PLEASE let the injuries stop!!

Guess our plethora of forwards will go to bringing in a defenseman. no idea who'd be moved, though, and we still can use an upgrade up front. He could be put all the way to the playoffs, I'm guessing Tallon and Santos will bring someone in. Unless Jovo is close to returning and they're comfortable with Robak and Strachan as fill-ins.

And I dont think it has to do with his cut. The cut was around his calf I think.

I wonder who we will sign or trade for. We can't survive with two AHL guys for that long.

Two AHL guys? Who are you referring to? Strachan makes one. Ellerby is not an AHL defenseman, he's proven that much and Gudbranson deserves to be here too.

Frankly if Strachan can just survive out there there may be no reason to go get anyone. Jovo and Kulikov will likely return around the same time and then we're stuck with like 8 D.

lol, I completely forgot Ellerby took Jovo's spot. I thought Strachan did. I could see a move being made. Kulikov is too important and Strachan is nothing more than a temporary depth d-man.

No doubt in my mind Tallon will be on the phone trying to get something done. Wouldn't be surprised if it is in short order as well. Not sure how much he likes the idea of having Strachan or any other AHL call up on the blue line for an extended period of time.

I wouldn't mind trying to grab a guy like Tim Gleason from Carolina. Rumored to be available, but we might be in a bidding war against Philly and Boston.

We need to put a few chips on the table and upgrade now rather than wait for the deadline.

So, does this make it official that the Panthers will once again lead the league in man-games-lost? They must have set some sort of record in this category the last 15 years.

Agreed. Waiting another month is a serious mistake. Kulikov is a big part of our D and losing him is going to HURT badly.

This team is starved for goals as it is, if we start giving up even more we can quickly kiss this season goodbye.

Tallon better get his ass in gear or I will not be a happy camper.

What is it with telling the public that some of these injuries are just minor and then all of sudden they become month long injuries? This will be a big loss to the defense with Jovo out as well. I'm thinking that Tallon has no choice but to make a trade. Strachan could be impressive, but over the next two months, many of these games could be key to winning to reach a playoff spot. Gleason seems like a very good example. I've always respected how he plays. Seems like he'd fit in rather well.

I wouldnt mind seeing Robak brought up now. He is our most talented Dman in SA, which isnt really saying much though, and his offensive talent should ease the loss of Kuli. I just really dont understand how we get so many injuries EVERY SINGLE SEASON!?!?!? Do we need to upgrade our medical staff? Or maybe our strength and conditioning team?

Rather risk playing with Robak and give him experience from the NHL level, than some player that won't be an NHL player and is just a step-in. Robak has more points and a way better +/-. Give us Robak!!!!

I thought he was going to be out for a few days when I first heard he was injured. About 2 months is bad news. Typical how we didn't have any defenders injured at the start of the season and had loads of forwards out injured and now the forwards are coming back the defenders are getting injured.
