Seems like those would keep your head toasty warm while you sip on your Starbucks double half-caff vente mocha caramel frappachinaspresso and surf the latest occupy movement blogs on your brand new macbook air and download music from indie bands that have less than 50 downloads on iTunes (because otherwise it's too mainstream)
Pfft everyone knows snapbacks are "cool" right now

How much experience will the prospects need cause from track record it takes a couple of years to get enough MLB experience just to be productive and not even playoff team worthy.

Baseball America has this as the 2015 lineup So does the hardcore fan thinks all these guys will have enough MLB experience to make the playoffs. You have 3 starters who would have less than 3 years MLB experience and they are to lead the team into the playoffs? Etch at SS is your playoff bound SS???? Adam Lind still on this team???

PROJECTED 2015
LINEUP
Catcher Travis D'Arnaud
First Base Adam Lind
Second Base Yunel Escobar
Third Base Brett Lawrie
Shortstop Adienny Hechavarria
Left Field Colby Rasmus
Center Field Anthony Gose
Right Field Jake Marisnick
Designated Hitter Jose Bautista
No. 1 Starter Ricky Romero
No. 2 Starter Brandon Morrow
No. 3 Starter Daniel Norris
No. 4 Starter Justin Nicolino
No. 5 Starter Aaron Sanchez
Closer Sergio Santos
It's like you're treating real baseball like a video game.

Ever hear of Juan Guzman? The guy who jumped from AA to the Majors after the Jays ACE Dave Stieb was injured. His playoff record is 8 GS, 5-1, 2.44 ERA, 51.2 IP, 42 H, 27 BB, 41 SO. Is that productive? Did it take him 2-3 years?

Maybe you never heard of 20th round pick Jeff Kent. Winning a spot in spring training and then being traded for David Cone after playing in AA the year before.

So 2 prospects who weren't at the top of the prospect rankings emerge and result in 2 elite starters for the Jays 92 playoff run.

Not to mention that we will probably be adding a significant amount of players via trades since AA has been very active on the trade front in his tenure.

For those that want to cry about the Wells contract, PF comes in with a much stronger resume and plays a position that offers less wear and tear.

Once bit , twice shy.

Maybe the Sens should trade away all their first round picks for more sure things, since the Daigle debacle.
I'd rather they save the money for next year to make a run at one of Hamels, Cain or Greinke. The Fielder contract was too risky as has been explained in here many times now.

who do you guys think will go between d'Arnaud and Arencibia? i personally see d'Arnaud being traded for some reason for a #2 pitcher or possibly a top prospect pitcher

I think Arencibia is gone once D'Arnaud establishes himself as a everyday catcher. He is just a much more well rounded player going forward.

that's the point. projected lineups for the future are ridiculous exercises because they can't account for everything that can/will happen.

The only thing i can really disagree with is I think Lind would rank as a 3, and not a 4, since in the division I would only think Gonzales and Texiera would be better.

Though It is possible for Cecil, EE, LF, Morrow, and Alvarez to prove them wrong

Very true, but also too bad. I like JP, really solid ball player, seems like a good clubhouse guy. I met him in a bar here in Calgary a year ago, and chatted with him for a bit. Really nice guy, don't want to see him go.

It'll be interesting to see what kind of shape Snider comes in to camp in. Everything we've heard from Thames is that he's been working out and spending a ton of time working on his D. Haven't heard anything from Snider.

Great thing is we're bound to have an improvement there this year.

We only need one of Snider or Thames to come to camp ready for a breakout season.

If both fail we still have Davis who is a borderline starter, and was pencilled in CF to start the year last year.

No matter what we're better off than last year with Rivera and Davis both as starters.

One year deal. Smart move going one year in the NL IMO. Should help his stats a bit as oppose to pitching in the AL.

Would any of you guys have interest in adding John Lannan from the Nats. They are apparently really looking to move him. He's there highest paid pitcher before todays signing at 5 million. Which seems crazy to me. Anyway, his broken down numbers aren't very attractive to me but maybe I'm looking at it wrong. He is young and under control I believe for another year.

Nemesis, this is for you. Funny thing happened to me:

Girl: Playing the waiting game, huh?
Me: Yeah, but the waiting game sucks, lets play Hungry, Hungry Hippos.
Girl: <_>

Safe to say, she won't get a second look from me. She didn't understand a perfectly awesome Simpsons reference.

My question why would you make a move for him if the numbers are not good? Cause he is under control?

That is the game AA is forced to play look for guys even if they are not really good but if they are under control then go for it.

I would rather roll the dice with what they have.

Do you think Adam Laroche is a better 1b option than Adam Lind? I would see if the Nats are willing to part with him for Davis as they need a CF. They would move Morse to 1b and Werth to LF.

I know Laroche is a way better fielder and numberwise is pretty close. You can then flip Lind to a team for a pitcher.

Laroche is also 6 years older and way more expensive, plus coming off a season where he didn't play after May 22nd

Anyone else planning on doing a Jays franchise with MLB 12: The Show?

I plan on attempting to acquire Michael Pineda without having to give up too much. Wonder if the Yankees would do a Pineda/Cecil swap?

Well if '12 is as flawed as last year's franchise iteration, you shouldn't have any difficulty picking him up for cheap. The problem will be re-signing him.
