My suggestion is to have Beef start a new Fantrax league (or another site if you prefer) and have Beef be the commissioner since he's familiar with it. Then Beef can just put players on teams himself. Just write down who's on who's team or have everyone pick a certain number of players to transfer. Easy enough. As for prospects, without premium status you'd have to do it another way or not at all. If you really wanna do it then figure out a system to run in your official HF topic.
I was a crappy commissioner, but I know my way around the settings so this is my suggestion.
If you want the same settings too then Beef can copy that into the new league too. It's the fastest, simplest, and smartest way to do it. Beef should have the power to send e-mails via Fantrax so he can contact everyone to see who's still active and get info he needs. If you have some people that are no longer here then remove them and put their noteworthy players into a mini draft. No big deal if you don't get it done before Saturday as, if I remember correctly, Fantrax lets you to start a league any time year-round.
Also, the lifetime premium was for my account, not the league itself. If I'm not participating then there is no premium unless you guys pay for it.
If we have to transfer to a new league, can we please keep the same rosters? I've spent a lot of time crafting mine. It's my baby. And I have Giroux....
I don't know that I have the free time to take care of this before the season starts. I'm pretty swamped until the 23rd.
There's a few ways around this. Have some co-commissioners help to make the load lighter or even hand over head commissioner to someone else. Also, like I said, I think Fantrax lets you create leagues year-round so you can start late if you want. There's also playoff pools to consider.

Should be in the options somewhere that allows you to give members control over the name. Once everyone has their name set though its wise to lock the names down because otherwise members could end up changing their name a lot.
So are we doing a whole new league or transferring the teams? I'll help put the players on the right teams if that's the direction we're going.
Transferring the teams to a new league from what I can glean. I suggest Beef give you and Mkoll co commissioner powers so this whole thing can get done before Saturday.
You already have at least one person leaving the league (me) so my suggestion is to start the league with all the transferred teams on time. Then lock the free agent pool until you can hold a mini draft for all the free players from disbanded teams. Should work, I think.
I'm trying to transfer all the teams over. I've already done Mkoll, JVR and myself; none of the reserve or prospect slots are filled properly, so you'll have to go through and put them where they need to be on your own. If we don't hear from some people, I'll keep their teams intact and hunt down replacements for them. In the meantime I/we can pull a Bettman/Phoenix deal while we look for replacements.
