Well, that was fast. Didn't notice him much in this game, I guess this means White will be good to go after the break.

This, the guy is becoming one of my favorite poster !

I'm still thinking that Engqvist did a ok job in all the circumstances, I just wish to see him more hungry to play in the NHL. I want to see energy I mean you're trying to stay there you need to at least impress.

I didn't like gainey and everyone here did so there was a lot of confrontation. I see Gauthier making smart moves and my outlook changed.

That or I got older.

I wouldn't mind trying Engqvist in Nokelainen's spot next year. He is bigger and a better skater, if he can add a few lbs to 210-215lbs and chip in 5-8 goals, kill penalities.

Moen was Day to Day as well.

And they can always call him back up on Monday if Moen and White aren't ready, and he'll have played 2 games for the Dogs this weekend.

It's really interesting to compare Leblanc's temporary callup and Engvist's.

There was a report a couple of weeks ago that White would go to the AHL for conditioning stint anyways.

I know eh? I thought someone hijacked his account because he is so positive compared to what I remembered (especially considering the team's record).

Yes.

2nd and a 5th for Wiz. 2nd for Moore. 7th for Nokes. 5th for Mara. 4th for Sopel.

Diaz was signed to play in the AHL. Why exactly is Gauthier getting props for Desharnais? He's been in the Habs organization since 07. Why is he on this team? Again, lack of center depth. This team has no depth and has traded picks away when they should have been stocking up on them.

Gauthier is a bad GM no matter how you slice it.

Max Lapierre discarded like a piece of garbage for a 5th....his replacement becomes Enqvist...who can't cut it....is sent down...then we trade a 7th and a scrub for Nokes and a scrub who's a healthy scratch.

I won't mention trading Sergei for nothing, Pouillot gone (not that I thought he was great) but he's another young player who was discarded for nothing.

And at bringing up Schultz. He will never play a game with this franchise.

LOL
I'm not generally into defending PG but....

While your laughing, save some for yourself. You realize that after the 3nd round MOST players never end up making the NHL.

the 7th for Nokes = a bag of pucks...not bad for a former 1st rounder who has been useful for us this year.

Getting Wiz last year essentially saved us from not being in the playoffs. 2nd rounder worth it.

Getting experienced players to fill in on the back end last year was worth the late round picks. They will have little or no effect on our future. If you'll remember .... we had some injury issues and we'd already called everyone up, he got roster players and gave up virtually nothing. 4th rounders can be replaced fairly easily by signing undrafted players...

This organization hasn't fared badly on the trade front recently. SK was crappy but... really... managements hands were tied. Pouliot gone for nothing .... well exactly where do you see him in our lineup. He wasn't going to be allowed to play 3rd or 4th line here. He was taking up a roster spot and you are aware that teams can only carry so many pro contracts...
