(Projected trade: Oilers trade Hemsky to Washington for the 18th pick in the draft plus some spare part or other.)
1 (2) Mikail Grigorenko - C - Quebec
The oilers have a lot of skill up front but not a lot of size. This guy is 6'2" and would fill the #2 C spot.
1 (18) Olli Maatta - D - London
Smooth puck moving Fin with a fair bit of skill.
2 (32) Henrik Samuelson - RW - Edmonton
Right wing is a need position now that Hemsky is gone. Has some size and skill.
3 (62) Tim Bozon - LW - Kamloops
6'1" 46 points in 47 games and +23 in his 1st year with the Blazers.
3 (79) Marek Langhamer - G - Pardibuce
6'2" Czech goalie, #4 Euro goalie. Oilers have a number of goalies in their system but invariably more bust than turn out.
4 (92) Cody Corbett - D - Edmonton
I haven't seen the Oil Kings play much this year but those that have indicate this guy has made great strides and does a lot of things well.
5 (122) Thomas Nosek - LW - Pardibuce
Was the captian of the Czech under 20 team.
6 (152) Lukas Sutter - C - Saskatoon
Yeah, we drafted a Sutter, need some of that grit.

Feel free to mock my mock.
I don't know much about Nosek and Langhamer, but I like all of the other guys.
I like Lukas Sutter, but I really don't see the Oilers taking him since I think Rich is still very involved in scouting with the Flames. Might be a bit uncomfortable.
1 (2) Mikail Grigorenko - C - Quebec
Big Talented center, The Nuge and Grigo at 1 and 2, love it.
1 (18) Cody Ceci - D - Ottaw
I love this kid and his game, I really want the Oilers to get this kid.
2 (32) Martin Frk - RW - Halifax
3 (62) Matej Beran - C - PEI
3 (79) Max Iafrate - D - Kitchener
Bloodlines
4 (92) Henrik Samuelson - RW - Edmonton
Bloodlines, probably won't last here, but you never know, he is the #33 European prospect

Huge kid

Frk is also the guy I want with our 2nd round pick. Kid has top 10 skill. IMO someone takes a chance on him in the mid 20s. Just so much too like.

Bozon is a beast. I'm a big fan.
I don't see Corbett lasting passed the 3rd.
I was orginally going to take corbett in the 3rd. He's only rated as # 92 for north american skaters at the mid point central scouting.
Don't draft Dumba, i watch him play in Red Deer a lot and honestly am rarely impressed with him. I Hope if we draft high enough we take Grigorenko though.

Strange, from the games I got to see him, he was a force. He hits, shoots well, and annoys. I like him.
in all this grigs talk has no one thought of the dynamite combo of yakupov and hall? size or no size i think the top six would be bananas with another legit winger.
they have belanger, horcoff, lander, possibly pitlick for two-way centremen. if paajarvi maxes out at the third line then they need a winger.
I also don't see them winning a Gagner or Hemsky trade....that could go real wrong....
Cody Corbett is a player I would like to see the Oilers draft, I think that he could be a sleeper in this draft. I want the Oilers to draft more fwds then dmen though as we are actually pretty heavy on dmen prospects. We need at least one more top 6 fwd but someone that will project to be better than Gagner. I like Grigorenko the best.
Matteau is another player I hope we draft. He has size and plays tough with some skill.

Definitely thought about it but what I can't stomach is Horcoff centering them.
1.(2) Ryan Murray D Everett - Stu loves him. I know I have seen him at the rinks gushing over him. I think he is the guy they want. I think he is the most ready guy for the NHL as well.
1.(18) Henrik Sameulsson F Edmonton - Watched him last night and I am developing a man crush. Big,skilled and mean. Would look great in the top 6 in a few years. Going to rise as the season goes along made to play in the WHL.
2.(32) Dalton Thrower D Saskatoon - Ugly SOB to play against. A smaller compact version of Duncan Siemans. Teams hate him. Has good skill with the puck. The poor man's Dumba.
3.(62) Esa Lindell D Jokerit - Offensive D has put up big numbers in junior. Big guy at 6'2 impressive at the u18 level. Currently on loan to division 2 Kiekko.
3.(79) Nick Walters D Everett - Big strong D man. Was once touted as a 1st rounder. May not have the offense but is a strong puck mover. Tough as hell will fight anyone.
4.(92) Chris Driedger G Calgary - Big 6'3 goalie. Excellent postional goalie has had an up and down year but expect big things next year from him.
6.(122) Mitch Moroz F Edmonton - Tough guy. Can play. Has 15 goals and counting. New age tough guy for a new age NHL
7.(152) Jayne Rissling D Calgary - Huge D man. Tough stay at home Defender. Dropped in the rankings due to lack of offense. A project pick

What's wrong with playing Gags as one of our top 6 wingers? I'm a big fan of having lots of centerman. If we have a 1-2 punch of Nuge-Eberle/Hall-Grigorenko, we can put anyone on the wing with them and the line will tear it up
I'd definitely package the other two 1st rounders to get a higher pick. We need an first pairing dman, esp if we take one of the Russians with our first pick.
My friend is cousins with luke stutter, we always see him when he's in town! I would Be stoked if he was drafted by us! But I think he will go earlier, he's having a very solid year, leads his team in pims too haha. But he hates Ryan Nugent Hopkins, says he can't stand the kid, but he's high on Eberle
