Bring back the headband

If by some miracle Dud's is hired as GM (Im all for it ) How bout the idea of Mike Ramsey as a head coach ? He certainly has the coaching expierience and maybe can actually be a teacher for our young D core.

It kind of keeps it in the family of ex sabes which T P actually favors, and a Duds /Ramsey tandem may be what we need. Hell......... add Craig Ramsey as a assitant !! lol

Iron Mike Keenan did cross my mind only because he ruled with a iron fist and was the king of mind games. May be what theese mental players need. A feared coach just may be what the doc ordered.

The only other names that kinda made sense were Craig Patrick and Barry Smith

If not any of the above perhaps ya go with some up and comming young whipper snapper ahl/ college coach with fresh ideas and in tune with the younger twitter crowd.

But really a Rick Dudley / Mike Ramsey combo may be a good choice.

OK I got it........

Duds as gm
M Ramsey as coach
Craig Ramsey and Jim Schoenfield as assistants
Hire Don Luce back as Head of player personel/ Scout

All thats missing is a crafty offensive power play specialist assistant

Bingo !!!!!!!!!!!!

Not bad huh ?

Come up with something better.

Everything that I've read about Ramsey is that he moved back to Minnesota to be near family and friends and isn't that eager to get back into coaching - I'm not sure any of that has changed. There was speculation that he might compete for the Wild's head coaching job when Lemaire left but Ramsey declined any interest.

Don't get me wrong - I'd love to see him somehow back and involved with the Sabres in some capacity, just like I would LaFontaine. However, based both seem ensconced in their communities in Minnesota and Long Island and not likely to move.
