Is he really a top 4 defenseman, he reminds me of Nick Grossman, a solid defenseman who you can pencil in and forget about. He's not very physical or outstanding in anyway and feel he would be a #5 defenseman on a playoff team. Lastly is he part of our core? Maybe I'm just under appreciating him

He's a good defenseman. That's really all there is to say about him. It's better than being a bad defenseman.

Good defenseman. He started slow this year, but seems to be coming to his own.

Agreed. I think he is more of a bottom pairing guy. He is good, but not top 4 good IMO. Lots and lots of giveaways. And his offense isnt anything to write home about.

The key to AMac right now is his value - for a guy signed for this year and two more at an average of $550k a year, I think he's a helluva deal. Maybe one of the best players per dollar in the NHL. He's also a good Nova Scotia boy and was really friendly to my kids this summer, so I have a soft spot for him.

Definitely not top 4 material imo. His offensive instincts are pretty bad. Decent defender, but I keep flashing back to that one Bobby Ryan goal when he burnt AMAC to a crisp.
