Obviously the PP
2nd line finds a hot streak or some chemistry with returning players
Lidstrom out indefinitely...

1. Get healthy and stay that way
2. Stewart and Berglund finally find their game(which would help the PP dramatically)
3. Blues trade for Ryan Suter and lock him up long term

I have only one wish:
that they win 16 post-season games.

However:
1) Stable new ownership with more financial flexibility
2) A healthy roster
3) More Panger-shark

On the ice (as in, not ownership), not including the playoffs, it's really simple:
  • Get and stay healthy
  • Get the powerplay on track
  • For Halak and Elliott to continue their dominance

If we're talking about playoffs and it's not giant wishes like SWEEP THE CUP, then I'm going with:
  • Seed against an easier team in the first round
  • Stewart to have a prolonged hot streak in the playoffs
  • Show the ability to win games with special teams (PK and/or PP, doesn't matter)

The ability to not miss the net 20+ times a game, that'd be nice.

The Blues shall win every game for the remainder of the season, including the playoffs.

The Redwings shall lose the remainder of the season and miss the playoffs.

Captain Kangaroo and the Sontaran will join forces to lead the St. Louis Blues to world hockey domination for all eternity.

1. New stable wealthy ownership which will spend to the cap
2. The young forwards learn how to finish significantly better, scoring twice as many goals as before.
3. Blues win at LEAST 2 playoff series

1. Stillman's group purchases Blues giving us a long-term prosperous and reliable local ownership.
2. Blues play their hearts out in playoffs, and advance to at least the Western Conference Finals.
3. Steen/McDonald make a miraculous return and our offense/powerplay fires on all cylinders.

On a more serious note..

1. Berglund and Stewart play like they did the 2nd half for Bergy and when Stewy came over in the trade.
2. Keep improving the PP and finish more in the dirty areas
3. Get into the playoffs and make a Cup run (go big or go home!)

P.S. The NHL is terrible at making a schedule, if anybody didn't notice by now.

1) Berglund has a very strong second half.

2) Halak and Elliott continue to play well.

3) The Blues play very tough in the playoffs.

1.) Health - I wish that everyone gets healthy for the playoffs. Both guys on the IR and guys like Jackman, Backes, and everyone else playing through bumps and bruises.

2.) Wealth - I wish that everyone jumps on Stillman's bandwagon and his ownership not only successfully purchases the Blues but has the ability and desire to add significantly to the payroll.

3.) Happiness - I wish the members of the Blues organization and their fans around the world the happiest moment possible in hockey, the hoisting of Lord Stanley's Cup on home ice.

I really thought watching the latest Detroit loss that the Blues are hardworking and have some above average players, but the Wings have next level players that can take over games. Obviously there's only one Datsyuk, but I am tempted to wish we'd package a couple younger players for a Parise or another player that's proven that they have another level. Teams and fans tend to overvalue their own prospects. Starting to wonder if the Berglund we see is the Berglund we are going to see. Also, I feel like we have gotten by with this defensive group thanks to system that asks the forwards to commit fully to backchecking, but having a true shutdown D-man eating 20 mins a game might actually allow us to open up our offense a little bit. Plus I think Pietrangelo is starting to get exposed a bit as teams learn his game and needs a more solid partner than Carlo.

So yeah, I second Parise and Suter!
