Hopefully he'll bring back a 2nd rounder + just because of his worth to the teams bidding for him.

Then again Gauthier will probably not tell anyone about him and he'll trade him off to the first person that comes along for a 4th rounder and their salary dump.
but Lebrun just said that there is interest from multiple teams, so obviously there is some word out there that he's available. Or was this just an excuse to try and bash PG again. The problem with shopping players is that things get out of control. The media in the city go crazy over every rumour and every little bit of speculation. This gets back to the players, and probably bothers them. So while I do not always agree with PG dealing with only a select few GMs, I understand why he doesn't like to 'shop' players. Does this affect his return in trades? Maybe, but we aren't sure of that. There is no evidence that can show that, there is only speculation and hearsay (eg, a reporter stating that he heard from a GM that if he new player x was available, he would have been interested).

he's available of course, for the right price, as any other player.

like others have said already, if we're gonna get a 3rd rounder we better re-sign him. He's a great player on the 3rd line. I'd hate it if we trade him.

A 2nd would be good enough, then.

Rome or Alberts would be welcomed with the Habs.

I'd gladly do Alberts + low pick.

I'll even drive Alberts to the airport for you.

I'm pretty sure Gillis got it back in the Booth trade.

What the hell would the Habs want Alberts for?

I have no clue, but someone said he'd be welcomed there.

Alberts is Hall Gill but younger and slightly faster.

It was the 2013 3rd rounder, and he got it for 'options' during the off-season (i.e offer sheets).

Anaheim has our 2012 3rd rounder from the Lapierre trade, and when Gillis tried to get it back they asked for Tanev, IIRC.

Moen has a career high of 21 points. He shouldnt be worth that much but I believe it's going to cause a bidding war.

No more than a 3rd rounder. As effective as he is, he'd only be our 12th forward.

Will a fourth round pick 2012 do? I talking about the NY islanders fourth round pick and yes that will likely be high in the draft and as close to a third round pick........

Is he a rental?
If so, probably a third round pick.

If you're giving us a good prospect, then sure. Otherwise pass.

He also had 12 points, in 21 games during the Ducks' run to the cup. 7 were goals and of those 7 3 were game winning including the cup winning goal.

I'd want a 2nd, or a lower pick and a prospect that could be Moen.

2nd round pick or decent prospect* for sure. He got a pretty decent return last time he was traded as a rental and I can't see his value being lower than it was at that time.

The Ducks cup run was 6 years ago, his offensive game has diminished from then

He's still scoring this year. Has lots of effort and drive still. Granted he doesn't have the best hands for finishing, but he can still score here and there.

He is on pace for a career high because MTL is absolutely dreadful this year and is playing him 17+ minutes a game.

I like him, but for nothing more than a 3rd + prospect (mid level)

He would be playing between the 3rd and 4th lines in Vancouver 6-13 minutes.

If the Canucks are moving a 2nd for a deadline rental it better be a gritty winger with a PROVEN track record of offensive production....see Tuomo Ruutu and even then I think people will overpay for him too.

And nowhere near as good on the PK. At least Gill makes up for his blunders. Alberts and Rome just suck.

Man, I would love to get rid either, especially Rome. Just so AV can finally work on the moving on process.

I dunno, I like Rome as a bottom pairing only, or #7. He's not terrible, plays a simple game and can slot in on the right or left in limited minutes.

Alberts is just bad though.
