Chicago-Montreal

Ugh, I know this is going to over great, but I think PK Subban is actually what the Hawks need to get more physical/active on defense.

Will people please stop with the Subban proposals the kid is going no where and 90% of the fanbase on hfboards is against trading him so this won't end well.

If our idiot GM goes on and trade him there is nothing we can do to stop him but until then stop with the proposals. It's not about value it's just about keeping the kid. Kid will be special some day and i hope it's with the habs.

Subban is not for sale, but if he was it would be a quality v quality trade. I do like Saad though, just not sure if he's the kind of player Montreal really needs in the future.

I wonder if GM's around the league are like HFBoards fans. Jumping on the latest media rumors and calling up PG to discuss a trade for Subban. The media in Montreal is diabolical. WIth that said if there is a young player with a thick-skin who can withstand this ridiculous over-reaction and treatment it is PK Subban. He's one tough kid.

Not a package of quantity, that's for sure.

And Subban isn't on the block, by the way. Just another manifestation of Montreal's lazy journalism...

Ahahah. That is funny. The only guy that would fill our needs and that would not cost a huge package is Patrick Sharp.

Toews

In all seriousness, I don't really see a piece Montreal would want that Chicago would consider trading. Montreal would be looking at a comparable young center or D-man as a more 1 v 1 trade. Chicago doesn't really have a player like that available (then again, Subban isn't really on the market either).

I agree, he is not on the block. i dont see the need for Subban to be traded, just a hypothetical question to see what hab fans would want in return

Well, since Habs wouldn't be looking for a quantity package, I'm not sure you have any prospect with high enough upside to be the main piece. Your 1st rounder will most likely be 25-30th, so nothing of real interest there either.

From a Habs perspective, I can only see Subban+ for guys like Sharp, Hossa (I won't venture into Kane, Keith or Toews, don't worry!). But that doesn't make any sense for you guys. So I can't really fathom anything that would sound good for both sides.

Sharp would cost quite a bit and is worth a fair deal more than Subban.

I am not saying a 1 for 1 switch of course. We would add.

I wouldn't, but I don't want Subban to be traded in the slightest.
