Says a lot about some of the fans we have in here when he's praised on the main board and bashed on his own board.

It's actually quite embarrassing. Some people need to learn to just chill the **** out. Price was just downright hilarious tonight. Who gives a **** if he sucked in the shootouts? You could tell that he was having a great time out there and that's all that matters.

He's close, but you shouldn't expect much from the L'antichambre gang talking up a French guy.

I just came on to see if there was going to be Price bashing re: breakaways.

Yup, we're a bunch of *******s.

Was kind of disappointed to see Raph limited to ~12 seconds.

Would have been awesome if Carey was like "So guys, I hear last Saturday you were all bashing me and my team, what's with the buddy buddy comments all of a sudden?" That...would have been entertainment.

^^ This...He barely tried on most attempts. He wasn't just making up the whole poke check thing. Just get out of there uninjured. Considering the moves that got used on him, not like Thomas was that much better and not like in either case it means ****.

RDS...ensuring that we will never win another Cup. Someone should show them what NESN is like and the effect of a positive (probably overly positive) attitude towards the team you're covering can have. The leafs, the sens, all these teams are supported by the networks that cover them. Make no mistake, there is a very direct effect on the success of the team, one that Price alluded to in his interview on HIO (i.e. bruins don't have to worry about the media, they just come to the rink to play cuz they're winning.) It's a feedback mechanism. Even when we do something good, Habs get shat on (PK drama this past week after wins). If there's any protest I would actually approve of it would be against the hate of the Montreal Canadiens by RDS and co. They're worse than Jack Edwards. Well...almost.

Yeah, tonight was a great young player showcase and the Habs had nothing of significance there.

It's a very tough time to be a fan.

I thought Carey Price was easily the star of the skills competition. He was having fun and made it very entertaining. The Habs were already one of my favourite teams prior to this but I was never too pushed on Price. However, I have become a fan and will be pulling even harder for the Habs to make it to the later rounds of the playoffs.

If only we had a player like Brian Elliott being our only team representative. Perhaps we'd be 3rd in the NHL in points.

appreciate the support, positive vibes are rare this season in habsland

and lol @ rds comments, was watching CBC, because when we tuned in to RDS, they had the pre show "francophone + ontario franco bonus" special. And CBC was drooling on Datsyuk, who happens to me one of my fav players too, so that was a plus.
That and at one point, when we tuned into RDS, they had interview with Pominville which was supper awkward lol

I didnt like the fastest skater challenge.

Some player had to turn on their "wrong" side.

The contest was about having good turn instead of the top speed like we usually see.

I like to see time comparaison year by year too.

Price was awesome. Was he fun? Yes. That's all folks. We'll complain about whether or not he makes enough saves next regular season game.

Getting to the point where you expect the puck to go in on each break away.
Yeah - ignore the fact of a ****ing mic in his face the whole time, as well as idiots from cbc yammering in his ear constantly. Against some of the best snipers in the game. And he let some in - imagine that!

But go ahead and throw the heart of the team under a bus, fair-weather fan.

if we assume that Price had his confidence lowered during that All star game that "broke him down" and having affected his game afterwards, can you say that he came into this all star weekend with no ego, thus lowering his chances to be possibly affected negatively when he comes back and plays for real game next tuesday?
Price is developing well (and maturing), and i think he kind of projects the "new" attitude of the team right now. I hope that's the case, a confident habs team, is fun team to watch.

For God sakes there is a time and place for criticism and this event is not one of them, it's like a friggin charity golf tournament on skates. It's a chance for players to act like real people and not machines. They are surrounded by kids and family members just there to have fun. Price was truly embracing the whole thing and was the highlight of an otherwise boring event, he was accessible to the media and was a better commentator than any of the cbc guys that he worked with. The whole RDS thing would turn around in a heartbeat if Carey Price was fully bilingual and was able to give RDS all the clips they wanted. There i've said it, it is the real underlying issue of that networks dislike of Price and Subban and any other english player. Tune in next week to hear them sing the praises of Matthieu Darche and Rene Borque, oh nevermind, there was hope, but it turns out he is from that God awful cold cowboy and oil rich province of Alberta.

It was a bad year for the Habs.. We will see one or two forwards next season if the season goes well. Things have already started change with Martin not coaching.

How come people are so surprised and frustrated by Price performance last night ?

We already knew he was darn awful in shoot outs !

I think it's becoming "mental" in his case.

I`ve got a question: In how many shootouts did the team take part under RC? Perhaps this part of the game will become largely unnecessary so that the team and the goalie would have more time to hone their SO skills.
