This is awkward...

Good game oilers! Maybe we pull a new jersey? It would be nice. I don't care about tanking, I just want to see the W's. Great little stretch here.

Not sure if this game makes the Oil more or less likely to trade Hemsky. Im so confused about his situation, and it wont be resolved until feb 27

It looked like the Oilers were going to get schooled by the masters on closing out a game but the lads came out on top.

No critiquing here...just enjoying the win.

Fun week to be an Oilers fan.

Through some overlapping modding we seem to have screwed up the other threads badly. Thanks for starting a new one.

Gagner, Eberle and Hemsky all with very good games.

Just really happy that the boys scored a tying goal in the last minute with their goalie pulled.

I guess we can expect Dubnyk to start on Monday against the Leafs.

They just mentioned on Sportscentre that Gagner broke a Gretzky Oiler record by recording points on 11 straight Oiler goals. Gretzky's best run was a point on 10 straight Oiler goals.

When's the last time the Oilers tied a game in the last minute of a game? The Stefan blunder?

This team looks like its turning the corner. Oilers went toe to toe with the Red Wings for all nine rounds, and come out on top. Great to see.

Cant say that I have ever seen Barker play with that much intensity.

It was a pleasure to watch.

Renney's decision to throw Belanger out there was a "We don't even need this round, beeitches" message to Detroit. Scared them stupid. Renney's a boss. Or suffering recurring dementia. One of the two.

Gagner is oozing confidence right now.

I can't stop talking about Eberle though. That guy is insanely good. We have a real treat in this guy. 52 points in 48 games now. He is such a confident player and plays like a veteran.

4-0-1 in the last 5. Much rather watch this then the losses.

Whitney and Barker are huge for this team. It's no coincidence are defensive play has improved since they drew back in. No plugs like Peckham anymore. When Gilbert comes back it will be even better.

Whitney, Gilbert, Barker, Smid, Potter, Petry, Sutton...........much better top 7 then what we had played with a lot of the year. Still need to add a top 4 dman in the offseason of course but I want Cam Barker re-signed on another 1 year deal. I like the way he plays. Hopefully Whitney can be injury free next year. Solid player when healthy.

Perfect 3-0 record with my new shiny avatar.

Great fun watching Gagner and the boys having fun and playing with emotion and desire. This is what it feels like to have a competitive team that plays like they give a ****.

To stay toe to toe with the best in the NHL and beat them in a shootout where they hadn't lost all year is a great result. Full marks for an entertaining game.

That tilted me, but whatever. There's no ******* faceoffs in the SO.

It's probably worth noting that Whitney has 5 points in his last 3 games and played almost 25 minutes tonight. Is he back?

He also kind of scored on our own net but it's hard to blame those fluke goals on anybody.
