Yanks sign David Aardsma to a Major League deal @ $500K
Don't mind this move, gives the pen some depth, hard throwing right hander with a good K/IP ratio and should Mariano need a day off he gives us a 3rd option to go to aside from Soriano and Robertson
Struggled earlier in his career but he was good with the Mariners the past couple of years.....only thing that worries me is he is coming off of TJ surgery
edit: Cashman said we won't see him until either midway through the season or later

Really a terrible park for a right handed fly ball pitcher.
Yea it would really suck if this is how his career has to end
Helluva ballplayer......remember Corey Koskie? Thats how his career ended also, concussion
Rare for ballplayers
Yup. The weird thing is that he only took a knee to the head when sliding into 2nd base. You see hits or impacts that are 10x in football or hockey and guys recover from those hits pretty quickly.
Even if he plays for a division rival, I wish him a healthy recovery.
Except for catchers. Cervelli and Mike Matheny say hi.
While that is true, I meant it is rare for players to have to retire in MLB due to concussions

Yea I'd hate to see a career with as much potential as his go down the tubes
