Really liking D-Backs this season. Can score in bunches and have enough pitching to compete.

Beltran has been a pretty good and somewhat underrated addition to that team.

It's hard to get upset about starting 0-3 when there are another 159 games to make up for it. Just don't dig the hole too deep, Yankees.

If so, it's because the NL is going to be awful this year. Pujols went to the Angels, Fielder to the Tigers, Howard is out all year.
The Giants are one of the NL favorites, and their hitting is pathetic. And I have no idea who's going to win the Central, but I'm going to guess the Reds.
Everyone's sleeper team is the Marlins though, and I'm gonna bet they make the playoffs whether it's via WC or the division. Just a matter of how the Phillies play without Howard.
Edit: Totally forgot the 2 WC format this year.

The braves sure as hell aren't making the postseason. Horrid lineup and only above average pitching.

Maybe not. The Cards, Brewers, Dodgers, Giants, Rockies, Nationals, Phillies, Marlins, and DBacks will all be legit playoff contenders. There's only 5 playoff spots.

Yeah and all of those teams have major flaws. And how you determined the Nationals will be playoff contenders is beyond me.

The NL is wide open, no doubt. The Nationals have an improved team. They have a good bullpen, and I expect bounceback seasons for Zimmerman and Werth.

Darvish got lit up for 4 runs in the first inning against the Mariners and nearly had to throw 50 pitches to get through the half-inning.
Uh-oh!

I think of all the Japanese pitchers who have failed, Darvish has the best chance to succeed.

Thank God for the Orioles. Always nice to have a team to beat on after getting swept.

If the Nats finish higher than fifth, I'll be impressed.
If they finish higher than fourth, I'll be shocked.

Matsuzaka was straight filthy for like 2 years before his career nosedived. There's just something about the American game that beats them.

Mets with runners on second and third with no outs in the bottom of the ninth.
Murphy at the plate.
