If so, it's because the NL is going to be awful this year. Pujols went to the Angels, Fielder to the Tigers, Howard is out all year.

The Giants are one of the NL favorites, and their hitting is pathetic. And I have no idea who's going to win the Central, but I'm going to guess the Reds.

Everyone's sleeper team is the Marlins though, and I'm gonna bet they make the playoffs whether it's via WC or the division. Just a matter of how the Phillies play without Howard.

Maybe not. The Cards, Brewers, Dodgers, Giants, Rockies, Nationals, Phillies, Marlins, and DBacks will all be legit playoff contenders. There's only 5 playoff spots.

The NL is wide open, no doubt. The Nationals have an improved team. They have a good bullpen, and I expect bounceback seasons for Zimmerman and Werth.

Matsuzaka was straight filthy for like 2 years before his career nosedived. There's just something about the American game that beats them.
