Nothing more annoying than a Boston accent.

My dad graduated from MIT but grew up in Long Island. He said it was brutal being in Massachusetts for 4 years.

NY accents aren't much better.

He went to some fancy private school apparently. He didn't really have an accent...at least anything specific to a region. I digress, back to baseball.

Is it just me, or are people already starting to overrate the Tigers?

You had to expect some buzz about them after the Fielder signing.

They have the best pitcher in baseball and the best 1-2 punch out of any lineup. It's hard to not overrated them.

Actually it's very easy to overrate them.

It's very easy to overrate anyone. That statement contributes nothing. They have probably the best pitcher in baseball and just made a huge boost to their lineup. They already won their division last year and were 2 games off the regular season pace of the best team in the AL. They're already a top team in the league. What's there to overrate?

The tigers are a force to be reckoned with. An easy pick to win the division again.

I don't think they're far and away the best team in the league or anything, but on paper they're definitely among the top few.

Just in case that last part was in reference to what I said: I said they were A top team in the league, and not THE top team. Clearly amongst the best, but not necessarily the best. Just want to make sure that's clear in case your post, or any future posts, were going to reference what I said.

Oh no, wasn't in reference to you, just giving my opinion.

And I agree.

You're making it sound like I'm calling them a bad team.

You're saying next to nothing about everything, but just merely disagreeing with anything that isn't agreeing with you. You're saying they're getting overrated. How? They're not being touted as the best team in baseball, they're not being called a "dream team" or anything. You're saying they're not as good as billed. When they're being billed as "among the best," which they already were last year, you're saying they're obviously not that good. You more or less are saying the same thing, and its just semantics on your terminology of "bad" vs. "average" or whatever other term you're trying to imply fits best.

The Tigers won't be world beaters, but I expect them to handily win their division again.

Exactly. But it's not like they won't deserve to be a playoff team.

Ken Rosenthal Sources: #Yankees in serious talks with Bill Hall. Role could be similar to what he had with #RedSox in 2010. Backup IF, RH bat in OF. #MLB

We already have a RH bat off the bench in Andruw, unless they plan on using Andruw as a DH?

Would liked to have seen Chavez back - we don't have any LH bats off the bench as of now......Bill Hall may be versatile but he sucks
