For reals. First time I've been optimistic about the Yankees pitching going into the season in years.

Last time was when Mussina was still here, for me.

Nats sign Edwin Jackson. They have a solid rotation. Let's see if this pans out.

Josh Hamilton has relapse with alcohol.

I understand the image he is expected to maintain by the media, but I think it's sick that some people claim he doesn't care like another Yahoo blog writer. The guy is and will always be an addict. This is a struggle enough for him in private, let alone being a superstar athlete. Rather than crucify the guy, show him some support and help him out. His demons are strong, they won't just simply go away.

It's impossible to stop being addicted to something (drugs/alcohol).

Sucks to hear he fell back off the wagon. I hope it doesn't destroy him and his career.

It's just a shame they will still have problems getting people to go once the novelty wears off

I wonder if anybody will hit the big screen out in right center center.

That would be a massive massive poke and most of the powerful hitters are right handed.

Ryan Howard can do it.

He probably would have the best chance since he hits a lot to center field. He is a rare power hitter that isn't a dead pull.

The problem is that Ryan Howard could only hit it that far if a Mets pitcher was on the mound. Why would those two teams be playing in the Marlins stadium? Don't think it will ever happen until they hold an exhibition there.

All Star Game
Profit

But why would a Mets pitcher make an all-star team? I know they have to have someone rep the team, but I imagine one of their hitters will somehow hit .280 with 8-10 homers and get the nod over a guy with a 12+ ERA

Although, there is also a possibility they will just select the reliever with the fewest blown saves. So that possibility still somehow exists.

Actually, a trade might not be necessary. Just make sure Prince Fielder makes the all-star team when a Mets pitcher does (and its held there). Then profit.

Prince Fielder and Ryan Howard can probably hit a baseball further than anybody else in baseball. If Adam Dunn can find his talent again, the top 3 power hitters would all be lefties, IMO.

A Mets pitcher that makes an all star team probably isn't being known for giving up 500 foot home runs.

The Marlins have had bad pitchers. I'm just not sure how many times the Tigers play in Miami over the next few seasons.

Mike Stanton says you are wrong. Fielder probably is second however.

Well with interleague play every day starting in 2013, it's likely the Tigers will be there a few times.
