Eberle is also in the Accuracy competition.

EDIT: Oops, only in the passing.

Perhaps the NHL shouldn't have a 4-0 split of captains to the East...just an idea.

yep, second class citizens.

Ah well, I hope he dominates in the game.

In other news, he was sitting with Pominville and Kessel at the draft

Woah he's not even in the elimination shootout?

I thought everyone participated in that one. The list is certainly long enough already, putting the remaining 1 or 2 All-stars will make all the difference of a grain of salt on a sugar-coated cookie.

No Eberle in the shootout is a mistake. Oh well, no reason to watch the skills competition now.

Someone tell the hockey media that no one cares about Tim Thomas's political views or Ovechkin passing on the game.

Zzz.

I'll pass on the whole thing.

Eberle is just there to pass off the injury bug anyways. Hopefully it's to the Leafs or Nux.

LOL Ebs only gets to pass. And people question why some players prefer to opt out. Gong show.

I can't believe Ebs is just there to pass the puck. What's the point of him even being at the Skills?

If all Ebs is doing is passing, I think I'll do the same.

Looking forward to the game on Sunday though! Hopefully they don't relegate him to stickboy.

Pass on the game I agree , but you really don't care about Thomas and Ovechkin taking a stand for something ? I find that very interesting .

Taking a stand for what? Selfishness?

What a joke! I thought every player got to at least compete in one competition. No reason to watch now I guess.

Eberle might want to prove something tomorrow. This is Jordan Eberle, he's going to put on a show.

Agreed. I think after the game, Chara will be wondering why he didn't put Eberle in the shot accuracy and/or shootout comps.

Although this is true, the intent of the all star game is to showcase the elite players in the NHL.
Having Eberle included in this group should make Edmontotn fans proud...

It seems they just don't know enough about him, or are patronizing their own players, whatever the case it should be an honour for Eberle to attend this event. Now he can add all star to his resume.

Yesterday they (panel) were debating when players should be able to get a pass from the All Star Game. What the hell, when did it change to players trying to get out of this. They need to do something to change it back to where it was the greatest achievement to 'make' the all star game.

And yeah, who thought that having no captains or assistant captains from our neck of the wood was a good idea. sheesh

Yup lets pick 4 guys who all reside on Eastern Conf. teams who see most of the west teams once a year. That sounds like a brilliant strategy for success.

I hope you're right. Wouldn't that be awesome to win ASG MVP after only being selected to pass pucks in the skills competition?

Like we all don't already know that the MVP will be one of the Senators.
