Have any other media reported on these Perry rumors? I haven't read the previous thread in its entirety.

Here's a link early in his AHL career about being moved from wing to center where he says he's comfortable at each position. This likely stems from him playing some center at Yale and throughout his minor hockey days.

IMO on this canucks team he fits best as a winger.

I can't even imagine how hard every media guy and Boston fan would **** if the Canucks got Mr. Obnoxious.

Ok, question off of Crows post:

Who would you rather: Corey Perry or Shea Weber?

It what sense is he "done"? He's still producing at a .5PPG pace with worse talent. What makes you think he's no longer NHL calibre?

Sammy is one player that is hard to play against. No question. In big games, he's tended to elevate his play. How many players can do that? He gets in the face of opponents. Never yields. He was huge for DET, and he was an excellent playoff guy for VAN prior to last year.

The groin injury he had was unfortunate, but I wouldn't discount everything else he has done because of it. Guy is still a gamer.

As far as I know, the only Vancouver "media" guy to touch it has been Jason Brough, formerly of the Kurtenblog.

It doesn't seem to have much in the way of legs apart from the fact that two ex-NHLers reported it on a radio show (in Montreal?) yesterday evening.

I think it's pretty clear and obvious that Perry will become a Canuck, and that the Sedins, Edler, and Hodgson will become Predators very soon.

You're forgetting he's a UFA at the end of this season. Whats the point of trading him away in the first place and TRADING BACK for him AGAIN?

Well...I guess Henrik can now add GM to his list of titles since he's going to make a trade to get us Weber. Cya GMMG

Weber heard that Chara put out a hit on the Sedins, Weber is their "protection".

He's scored 2 goals in the 15 games he's suited up for with the Panthers. He missed a bunch of time when we traded him there, and then again in late December. He wouldn't help this team.

He's got 11 points (3 goals) in 21 games playing with Goc as his C, and with 15 min ATOI...

He sat out when he got there, people are still unsure why. I will speculate that he was more concerned about getting fully healthy before coming back. Now he's back and producing.

None of what you have said refutes his PPG production and/or his playoff ability.
