Compared to the hype prior to his rookie season in the OHL people have forgotten about him. He's still a projected first round pick, but not as high as he was before coming to the OHL.
I guess it was that hype that surrounds all 15, 16, 17 year old players that have yet to play at a high level. I guess it's normal.

Ok from the I can't spell Russian names Department. The reason Anikeeno was not listed is it is Anikienko. That does pull up a Google listing for Russian Prospects.com. So, I guess I suck and Google is ok!@

I've only seen two rankings so far this year. McKeen's has him in the late 1st round (25th), and ISS doesn't have him ranked at all. Like everyone else, it all depends on how he does this season. However, he's definitely been falling.

He has played well so far this year; it's a nice surprise after watching him last year. His skating has improved and he's playing much better D. He's started to show the offensive side of his game (he got his first OHL goal last week) that we heard about but hadn't seen.
He's playing with a bit of an edge, standing up for teammates (which also didn't happen last year), and playing smarter to this point in the year. He's getting a lot of playing time to this point in the year.
He has improved, but I think he still has a ways to go to before he can be considered a "top" prospect, and I wouldn't put him in the same category as Kindl yet. That's not to say he can't get there, but he's not there yet.

Who knows if I posted a top 5 before but if the top 5 went more along the lines of early production (keeping in mind skill and talent level), more than actual "potential":

Pouliot
Bourret
Guys like Kindl, Latendresse, Anikeenko, and Staal would miss out because their production doesnt "match" (with exception of Bertram, but he's a different story) these 5 guys right now.

Is this more or less Boris Valabik, the 10th overall last year? Its a blurb describing Hesh, and it has nothing to do with defaming his integrity; strictly talent and play.
What about his shoulder injury also? Is something that could hinder his draft position ala Dan Fritsche?
Heonly got 6 points in 10 games.. 2 goals sionce his returns... i didnt see him play so i cant tell you how about his injury, he is a sure 1st rounder altough

Kindl Has to much raw talent and mental tools to drop to far because of a sub par first month. Cogliano after an amazing U-18 has been getting negative reviews but I didn't drop him to far.....By the end of the season though he'll likely fall and may not be drafted untill the 25-30 range.
