****, Stevenage got through.

I hate them for being irrelevant and knocking out my slightly less irrelevant team.

Half the Premier League gone from the FA Cup, and the fourth round isn't even over yet. (Also a guarantee that an eleventh team will be gone as Arsenal is playing Aston Villa.)

Madness.

That's the way the draw goes. Having the Premier League teams knocking each other out is the only chance that lower sides have at making it far into the tournament.

I didn't even think of that...

I'd like to think I'm relatively knowledgeable of English football, but I still overlook seemingly obvious things like that.

Well, they don't do it on purpose, it's just that the randomised draw helps the lower teams.

Having both Manchester teams eliminated does make for a wide-open field, but I guess that's to be expected when they put them both up against each other right off the hop in the third round, then ManU gets Liverpool as their reward for winning So two of the three best in the league were going to bite the dust in that part of the draw, as it worked out.

It does make the tournament more exciting that not only teams get randomized, but locations too.

Excuse me but I am being extremely polite when I say, "Shut the **** up."

Newcastle has been eliminated by non-EPL teams the past 2 seasons.

Love you, Saugus.

Yeah, I love how you could draw Crawley at home or Arsenal away tomorrow with equal probability.

I'm hoping for Crawley at home.

Actually more likely to get Crawley as it stands, since Arsenal aren't through yet.

What? There better be a big break in the schedule.

To get money from fans of the opposition buying tickets.

Remember, this team won't be home much until the season starts. They are about to leave for Mexico for a couple weeks then they are going to Phoenix to play Pumas UNAM. By the time that is done you are looking at about March 1st with the season opener being on the 11th

That and Red Bull fans. If they get any team on their target list it's a guaranteed sellout and considering they don't host LA and only host DC, Philly and New England once each and to add to that they have a league leading 4 home Wednesday games. They are hurting for any guaranteed sell outs. This is why they want 2 huge name teams to come in during the regular season. To make up for what they feel is a farce of a schedule

That makes sense...

And by "big name" do you mean a "big club"?

As in one of the Big Four of England? (Which would include Liverpool... )

Yes, the teams they are targeting are the biggest clubs in the world. And no, they are targeting more than English teams

Well, that's Newcastle's fault. In general, the EPL teams are more likely to win against non-EPL teams.

Some teams have easier paths to the later rounds than others, it's the nature of the draw.

**** that. I want RBNY to do some damage in games that matter. MLS trophies are what this team needs. I love exciting friendlies if they're during a break or in preseason but not if they interfere with real games not spectacles.
