Woo Juventus still unbeaten and in first place.

Lazio did Juve a HUGE favor and beat Milan yesterday.. so now if Juve wins their game in hand they will have a four point lead in first place. Their next four games are against the bottom four... they could run away with the Serie A title!

I blamy City just as much. Refusing to sell him or take any deals. Seems like they are trying to hard to make sure he doesn't play anywhere. They don't NEED him. He has a bad reputation and is now probably out of shape and has dropped in value... what are they expecting in return? Just take what you can and let the player go!

Arsenal whipping on Blackburn 6-1...Van Persie with another hat trick. Any chance he unseats Messi for player of the year? Arsenal'd probably be a second-division team (bottom half) without him this year.

Van Persie should win player of the year, hands down. Messi has a supporting cast that is world class.

Gotta love van Persie. Walcott did some great work to feed him for the goals. Ox playing well today too, and naturally Wenger subs him out for his trouble.

I'm pleased with Arsenal's performance today. 7-1 thumping of Blackburn.

I must say that, even as a Liverpool supporter, I really respect Everton. They're a class organization and you have to acknowledge what David Moyes is able to do with a limited budget.

Besides, I think the Merseyside Derby is more friendly if anything... Now Manchester United, they can **** off.

I'd go just to root against Mexico and watch Craig Bellamy play.

Pardon me, I should have been more specific.

Among the fans, it's more friendly...

It's one of the few derbies in England where they don't enforce total segregation of the fans, mostly because there are many circles of friends and families in Merseyside that have supporters of both Liverpool and Everton. This goes back to the fact that there's no real historic political, religious, or socioeconomic divide among the supporters of the two teams.

Hell, I'm friends with an Everton supporter at school.

On the pitch, it's a different story...

Arshavin is the typical "Russian stereotype" regarding athletes, meaning that he has world class talent but the heart of a loser. If he would play hard game in/game out, he would be a force to be wrecking with but he's a floater and he's our version of Scott Gomez IMO.

Well payed player who isn't living up to expectations, let alone the expectation of a guy coming off the bench.

Manchester United and Chelsea play to a 3-3 tie in a game that will be much better than the SuperBowl.

IMO those penalties were questionable.

No question the first was legit. Chelsea player made an attempt on the ball and got none of it as the Manchester player got his leg in the way. Clear penalty.

Second penalty was dubious to say the least. Shouldn't have been. Amazing game though, that's the BPL right there.
