A friend mentioned it to me a week ago, so in all likelihood I'm going to try. Did tickets go on sale? Or more specifically, do you know if AO has them up yet?

AO does not have them up yet. If your looking to go, my chapter's running a bus.

I'm still new enough to AO that I have no idea how the whole trip would work yet (been in it under a year). Only went to 2 matches (vs. Spain in Foxboro and the one in RBA this fall), but I drove myself for each. My friend did go to DC for the match there this past year, so I'm just gonna go with what he suggests. Which chapter is it? I'm assuming one of the NJ chapters?

I had a feeling you were going to say Central Jersey. I'm a member of North Jersey. Again, haven't been overly involved in much as I'm pretty new, but I know I went to a viewing party or two and those two games. My friend is the one involved in the chapter that knows people. When tickets are going to be coming on sale I'll have to figure out how everything is gonna go down. I'm more of a follower on this whole thing.

You should get involved lol. Its a hell of a lot of fun. Gold cup viewing parties were tremendous as all the younger members, (read college kids) are home. We packed our bar with 40-50 folks and got the whole bar into it too. Simply ****ing awesome when the entire bar is chanting USA after half the bar was just watching because it was put on TV

NNJ should be running a bus too though, I know a lot of folks up there.

Yeah my plan is to get more into it where possible this year and/or next. All depends on how the USMNT schedule stacks up, the magnitude of any games they can play, and my availability. Obviously some years produce better viewing parties than others, but I definitely intend to get more into it.

Really sucks that I just got the AO email about the trip to the World Cup in Brazil. I would love to go, and even though its gonna cost a sizable amount of money, I would still want to do it. Problem is I'm at a point in life where I have no idea where I'll be or what I'll be doing in 2 years to even say if I could go. Really kind of sucks. Used to work with a guy who went to the World Cup in 2010 on his own I believe. Don't know if it was with a supporters group, but if so I believe he is with Sam's Army. He said he went to like 9 games overall, the US games among those, and said it was totally worth every penny. Definitely a bucket list item. Just so difficult to commit to anything like that this far in advance in my spot.

Maybe the date isn't quite right? Or maybe they've talked with MLS about re-scheduling one of the two above?

They have said that they plan to come to the US in the near future so it might not be impossible. There's been suggestions that they might come to Fenway Park and play AS Roma and play at Yankee Stadium in NY.

Do you live closer to red bank? If so you should go with us! We've already opened up our reserve list for the Bus to DC.

Probably a good hour from Red Bank to be honest. I'm about 15 minutes west of the Prudential Center for your perspective. For me the issue comes down to whether or not I'll be able to go down for the match. If I'm able to get there, I'll figure out a way there I'm sure between any of the people I know potentially interested. Appreciate the offer though.

if Suarez didn't shake Evra's hand then something definitely happened between them.
