Not exactly a mind blowing announcement by EE is it? Fairly certain everyone knows that we are in for a Goalie.

I wonder if Bishop has told St Louis he has no intention of signing with them. If he will, throw a second at them, if he said he won't, throw Philly's 4th at them.

Bernier or Bishop make a lot of sense

So some of you are fine with Connolly for Schneider??... cause I'd definitely do it as a Canucks fan

Honestly, I don't think many teams will be willing to give up a solid roster player for a potential soon to be 26 y/o starter (which is what most Canucks fans want), and I'd rather get Connolly than some draft picks

Eberle is going to take a ton to get. The thoughts of him on this team are intoxicating.

If Eberle were traded I don't think we'd have to worry about the Oilers anymore.

As in, they'll use all that Alberta oil to burn Rexall to the ground during rioting.

I'm predicting 3 more trades.

I'd guess on Thurs, Saturday, and then Monday.

Any guesses(position wise) as to what is shipped out and brought in?

I still think we can get a 3rd for Hall and a 3rd for Clark. Both might be a bit of an overpayment but both players should have value to a playoff team for depth purposes and if we are in full tank mode might as well sell off every UFA we get a decent offer for.

Is it considered a fail if you sell off all assets in order to tank yet still make the playoffs?

Is it possible that any team would be interested in Roloson? I know a lot of you haven't given up, but I feel if we can get a pick or two for him then we would be better off than by keeping him this season.

Any teams looking to pick up a post-season tested goalie (at least backup) for a run at the cup?

This way we can give Tokarski or someone else a shot to 'get experience' at the NHL level.

.

If Kubina goes for a 2nd and a 4th?, Roloson could probably fetch a 3rd and a 5th considering how much cap we ate.

If no ones bit on Conklin, Niittymaki, or McElhinney on waivers then chances are no one's interested in giving up any sort of asset for Roloson either.

I'm thinking Hall and potentially Clark get resigned.

Based on that latest turnover leading to a goal I certainly hope we part ways with Clark.

We can do better than Hall and Clark. I see very little reason to re-sign either when they can be had for picks. If taking players from Norfolk is an issue, I'm sure there are some tweeners other teams will be willing to include as well.

Former Lightning player and fan favorite Curtis McElhinney traded to Columbus with a 2nd and 5th for Antoine Vermette.

McElhinney + 2nd + conditional 5th went for Vermette.

McElhinney is also injured for the rest of the season.

The cap hit a team would take wouldn't be as small as McElhinney might provide, but they aren't paying him the whole season either.

If a team acted now, they'd only have to pay Roloson $851,351 for the rest of the season.
