First two high profile ones that popped into mind for me were Claude Giroux and Kris Letang.
“The most terrifying fact about the universe is not that it is hostile, but that it is indifferent. If we can come to terms with this indifference and accept the challenges of life within the boundaries of death, our existence as a species can have genuine meaning and fulfillment. However vast the darkness, we must supply our own light.” - Stanley Kubrick
Although Letang and Enstrom are a couple dmen who have great non-ELC contracts, the best one by a mile is Andrew MacDonald and people always forget about him.
4 yrs @ 0.55 M cap hit for a guy who was NYI's #1 dman, has played top pairing this year as well despite Streit being there (doesn't get PP time anymore though) and he's usually very consistent and solid on a bad team. This is his 3rd full NHL season and he's averaged ~20-24 minutes or more in each one now. He's in the 2nd year of his 0.55 M contract and before that, he got 0.483 M on his ELC.
I feel bad because he's a top pairing dman (and a 2nd pairing dman on teams that are better) but he doesn't even get a million, someone give this guy a bonus.
He got injured and played 60 games last season but scored 27 pts in 60, not bad.
