Interesting notes from the gazette.

In the article Pat Hickey notes that Jason Ward will be joining the Bulldogs this week.

Also the article mentions that Montreal fans will get a chance to see the Bulldogs play next month at the Bell Centre. No dates were mentioned. (I can't wait to go.)

Here is the article.

I've got to say I feel bad for Bulldogs fans in Hamilton though.

Yeah I'm not sure how they are going to swing that... maybe take one of the weekday games that aren't frequently attended?

Either way I am soooo happy to hear it!

I wouldn't...let's see what kind of trade they get...:

they trade one regular season game for the chance to have a much better (and exciting) team on the ice for probably the entire year...if you ask me that's a pretty good trade.

I don't see how playing one game in the Bell Center gives you a much better and more exciting team on the ice. That's totally beyond me

I think he means that it should be no big deal to have one bulldog game in Montreal, when Hamilton will have a better team due to the lockout with the Younger Habs players playing with Hamilton.

They'll probably allow them to redeem tickets for any other home games, not too big of a deal.

I'm willing to offer 5 bulldog games this year for future considerations.

One habs game in Hamilton when the NHL starts again. We'll even take a crappy matchup like Montreal - Carolina, Chicago, Pitt, or Wash

DEAL!!!!!!

I'm dying for some decent hockey in town. It sucks that we have no AHL or QMJHL teams in the greater Montreal region. I'm stuck going to NAHL and the McDo Caravan games. (The caliber of Hockey just isn't the same...)

I'm thinking about it but it depends what is the price and how the hell I can manage to get there. I'm in Trois-Rivières, I don't have a car, no one I know would be interested about it, and I'm at university (which means I'm not all that rich). If I do get there, how do I come back. If I don't, do I have the time and the money to spend the week-end in Montréal ? So many questions... The easiest would still be for RDS to move their butt a little and show some frickin' hockey (no la caravane McDonald doesn't count).

They'll only play one, maybe two games here. They have commitments to fans and sponsors in Hamilton, they can't move a big chunk of games to Montreal.

I know it sounds lame and really sh*tty, but there's this bus company that deserves all big cities in the province.. it would bring you to LA Station Centrale in Downtown Montreal, they have lots of travels every day.. you should try to check that out! I guess you could find the phone # for Station Centrale on canada411.com, and they'd give you the prices info and stuff you need to know

It's not that bad, I used it this summer to go on a long (very very very long distance.. I went in Mexico by bus!! Yep, that's being a student!) and it's comfortable.. specially for a "short" distance like 3 rivieres - Mtl

Has that ever happend? I am quite sure you can have pre-season games, but what fun would that be, it would be like watching the the bulldogs all over again. Has anyone seen that happend without a natural disaster or some reason to not play the game at home?

I think Buffalo played a game in Rochester last year, and not due to a natural disaster or anything.
