This is a great post. I doubt a game goes by without Demitra on Gaborik's mind. Asking him about it shows that McGuire is more than just a talking head and gives Gaborik an outlet to talk about it on a big stage. Good job Pierre.

I'll tell you what was NOT a classy move. Whatever idiot was working the on-ice interviews for CBC (the feed I watched) at the end of the game said to Alfredsson, while on the public address system, "You could make a lot of people in this building happy if you told them you were coming back to play next season." Followed by an awkward pause where you could tell Alfredsson was trying to come up with the politik thing to say without committing himself. He eventually settled on "I can tell you 50% yes. For the other 50%, you'll have to ask my wife." I thought that was completely disrespectful on the reporter's part.
