Thomas is going nowhere until at least season's end if at all, this is so silly, especially for a 3rd liner like Stallberg, this is sportswriting at it's most embarrasing.

It pretty much guarantees Chicago a cup..

If your wishful thinking has you trading TT for Stalberg you should lose any ability to be involved with the press.

If anything, the Hawks should offer-sheet Rask in the off-season.

Thomas won't be going to Chicago for sure........ if the Bruins are thinking of moving him at all, they would be sending him to somewhere like Columbus

Thomas and Horton for Nash possibly

It won't matter. The optics of the situation might force a trade. Imagine your employee does something like this and you are embarrassed about it. How to distance yourself?

You might be persuaded by another GM to ease the situation, no? Especially if its a decent offer.
He has a nmc. He holds all the cards so even if the Bruins wanted to trade him right now they could only do it with his permission. His NMC expires in the summer and that's when this could possibly go down

Or you can use that package + some of your own assets to go after Subban/Schenn/Kulikov/... Would make sense to Boston in the long run IMO.

They have Steve Mason, no way Nash is moved for Thomas.

It's crazy thinking that Horton and Thomas can get you him.

Thomas is 38 !

I hope not, Horton is better than Nash for half the price.

Underpayment most likely, but a basis to build around.
Emery would be the perfect fit for the Gooins...

If Thomas were moved it would be the most value coming back from a goalie in some time. Stalberg would be the least valuable piece coming back in all likelihood.

As others have said, the reporter is a complete idiot. A step above Eklund in terms of "rumors", and I think he's letting his old age get the best of his reporting skills. Dominic Moore has apparently been on the B's radar for the past 4 years

He's not, Nash has a level of skill that Horton will never touch.

I don't think he would fit in Boston though.

This rumor started after TT didn't play nice with Obama, by some sensationalist journalists who don't really know a damn thing about hockey. This will never happen.

Though yes it would be robbery LoL

Nash gets paid double what Horton does, and only to provide 10-20 more points in production. Even if his talent level is that high, he's certainly not an 8M player, and Boston would have no interest, and definitely not at the cost of Horton.

Agreed. It would make more sense next year, at which point Stalberg + 1st for what would be a rental seems fair enough if Boston knows it's going with Rask.
