No way Dallas trades Benn after gifting Pitt James Neal.
I mean, Goligoski is a decent Dman, but JAMES NEAL!!!
JAMES NEAL!!! was merely James Neal towards the end in Dallas. He was red-hot for the Stars early last season, and then cooled way, way off after the first of the year.
A falloff like that is normal for a streaky scorer like Neal, assuming he still does the other stuff that James Neal. But he stopped that other stuff too.
He was very floaty, lost his physicality, and was bordering on becoming a liability.
Don't get me wrong, I still like the guy and I'm thrilled to see him doing well in PIT. But Dallas was not giving up what the Pens are getting right now. Plus, Dallas was never going to get what the Pens are getting out of him right now.
