I am not a Leaf fan but there has to be a line how far fans should go and doing this i think does cross the line.
It does cross the line, but it's not surprising to see from them.
It's like when your 13 year old brother thinks that ripping his jeans is a cool thing to do, or colour on his shoes with his collection of colourful mini-sharpies. Once older and more mature, they'll look back and hang their head in embarrassment.
I'm going to assume that people are just going with the flow of the story and poking fun and not really offended by the stunt (pretty soft if you are offended by this).
It didn't make me laugh but the prank is more on the juvenile side and I normally don't find those amusing. Anyone who was genuinely offended by the reactions the Leafs got this weekend needs to lighten up. This is how sports works. You're loved by your fans and hated by your rivals.
To someone who mentioned it, Lupul did go from having the loudest boos on Thursday and Saturday to the fewest on Sunday. But think about it, instead of shrugging it off, he pretty much trolled the Sens fans for their booing and took the opportunity to soak it all up and have fun with it. It kind of takes the fun out of booing someone when you know they not only enjoy it but can't wait for the next time you do it so that they can react. Lupul played it brilliantly, lol.
So what you're saying is that you're a closet Sens fan?
Having them play on the same line was a bit disorienting.
It was! I stopped trying to figure it out. I enjoyed watching them play together though. They had some great offensive opportunities. I counted about 3 goals Seguin could've had but it just wouldn't go in. Not bad though, Combined, their line scored 3 goals while the Datsyuk line scored 4 (their line was a treat to watch).
