I just plugged in the starting and ending points on the trip planner and it said 1 hour 19 minutes.

I'd love to hear your solution to cut it to 30 minutes. i.e. what bus and where to transfer

On game days, OC Transpo runs special "400 series" buses that go directly to Scotiabank Place. You can catch the 403 from downtown starting around 5:20 or so...still takes like 40 minutes though

I wanted to leave around 5, is it possible?

I have a car, but I will want to drink as well, so driving isn't an option.

Also, is it worth the dirve to QC to save some money on Beer? I know when i was at Tremblant last cases were $24 for 24 (Keiths and Canadian) Does gatineau have the same prices?

Go to Costco and they have 60 cans of coors light in a cube for $65 best deal around

I'm going to be there. Bought a ticket from Carleton U back in October. Should be a great night.

Take the 403 from downtown. Make sure to walk up to the Laurier or Campus stops. If you try and get on at Rideau street most buses will be full for the first bunch of buses. If its full it doesn't stop anymore and goes straight there. Should be no traffic on Saturday and once it gets closer to the stadium theres a bus lane to bypass any traffic.

I'd say not worth it to drive to the quebec side, the gas you'll waste will ruin the savings on beer. Plus you have to drive quite a bit, if you stop anywhere near the border they have the prices jacked up (they love ripping off anglophones and 18 year olds).

Costco is a good idea, but you have to have a membership. If you have one, then go for it.

What a fluke, the leafs are at my hotel, I saw the islander players leaving at 5pm today for their game against ottawa, I met brian burke, joe bowen, jim ralph, billy smith, and I also was talking with bob cole (yes he's doing the leaf game tomorrow) I asked him if he was a leaf fan, he laughed and told me he didn't want to go there haha, have yet to see any leaf players, they snuck in the back door after the isles checked out..go leafs go..can't wait for the game

Were they entering a huge white bus? (Islander players) I saw this massive, expensive looking coach bus on the 417 heading towards Kanata around that time.

Could have been them, it was a coach bus, lime green and white (I'm not good with details)

It could have been the Leafs, it was this huge solid white unmarked bus, twice the size of regular coaches. I tried to get a peek inside when I drove beside it, but the driver gave me a weird look haha.
Wishful thinking maybe
