Kinda OT but Herbstreit is a huge Blue Jackets fan(the ESPN college football guy). It was kinda funny to see him talking about them during a game.

Heres the list

23. Phil Kessel: The most electric player flying through the neutral zone with speed in full flight right now. He puts the snipe in sniper. Unique skating style. 500-goal career.
There

HAHA WTF?

Patrick Kane: Patty Danglesauce.

He is shooting less with the Leafs and scoring more. This is the fourth straight year his assists per game have risen. He makes more plays for others than he used to.
Now that's quite lofty praise. 500 goals is pretty much a HOF lock.

Ridiculous what one year does to a player. I remember that poll last year where he was against Horton and it was extremely close. Now people thinks he's better than Kane?

Stopped reading after seeing Jonathon Toews at number 2. Looks like I made the right choice after reading Kessel is ranked better than Kane.

Last year Kessel lost brilliant HF polls against Horton, Plekanec, Grabner, Cammalleri, and many others.

As for Kane, Kessel's on pace for a better season than Kane has ever had, and always will be the much better goalscorer.

Pretty good list overall. Not a whole lot I would disagree with. Martin St. Louis at 58 is too low.

Martin St. Louis at #58....

He was a Hart finalist last season and named to the second all star team for the past two seasons.

WTF

He's hurt? I don't think he is. He was injured before and missed games but has been back and playing VERY well. 16 games since the injury (21 points).

Tyler Seguin ahead of Jumbo Joe, IK, MSL, Iggy, Spezza...
I understand that this is one person's opinion though.

It's better than I expected from an ESPN columnist, meaning I'm surprised he could even list 100 NHL players. I think it's safe to say the majority of his hockey exposure came from the Olympics, because he seems stuck in 2010. I'd have to say the worst ranking of the bunch is Pekka Rinne at 93, though there are certainly others that could compete with that.

It's not based off of one year. This is the same reason why Sidney Crosby is still the best hockey player in the world even only playing a handful of games this season.

I personally don't think Nash belongs at 19. The guy has really faltered. He's on pace for 54 points. Sorry, but he doesn't belong there. I wish all the crazy love the hockey media has with this guy would stop. If he was playing in a canadian market he'd get shredded. And Toews being above Malkin, Stamkos and Datsyuk is ridiculous atm, way too high. I do agree with most of it though.
